I remember in 79 , I was in 6th grade ….Sports illustrated issue came out , Rosie was in the issue full display in defensive stance…I couldn’t believe he was our player…a seven footer with the probably the greatest afro ever, the awesome old Syracuse striped uni…, and the greatest basketball name ever…..my favorite Cuse player since then….the Louie Bouie show …my first great loss in the realm of sports…crushed and heart broken when they lost to Iowa….and Louis and Roosevelt are gone…and ain’t coming back

2 coaches with national titles, 4 coaches with a final four, 7 coaches with an elite eight, 9 coaches with a sweet sixteen. Big East is as loaded as it's ever been coaching wise

Great episode guys! One thing I remember hearing about the Jake and Rollie with the Nets story was that sometime overnight while Rollie was preparing to take the role Jake said to him "If I knew you were going to leave I would never have let you win the championship". Don't know if it's true but it sounds like a typical Jake comment.

IDK, if you guys have any help producing the show, but I think it would help exposure to let youtube generate topics when you upload, so it will split the podcasts into segments to make it easier to navigate. It's also good for the algorithms to upload some smaller, maybe most important/entertaining clips from each episode, separate from the full shows. A lot of the time, those smaller clips drive more views than the full shows.

Dwayne McClain was on our 82 Big East All Star team Yugoslavia along with Mike Mulqueen. Mike almost got arrested on that trip. Gary McClain was on my team that went to Angola Africa. Rollie joined us on the 86 trip to Italy with Valvano. John Nicalola maybe became local supervisor of refs. Mickey Crowley sponsored me into Pt Jeff Country Club. Monge, Pavia great guys. Silvestri, Froggy, Hyland, we listened to that Cuse-GTown fight on the bus radio heading to the Garden.

I live in Hamden, CT and grew up a UConn fan. Quinnipiac University where Tom was the Head Coach is right down the street from me. I’ve seen Tom out and about, as well as at games…. He is without a doubt one of the most charming, kind and consistent guys I’ve ever seen. He’s part of the secret sauce at UConn. I’ve really come to enjoy watching his role change over the years to more of a consigliere role for Danny! Thanks, Coach Moore! We are forever indebted to you. Also, incredible interview guys… thanks

Great interview... and I 100% agree that Tom is an integral part of the "secret sauce" that has made UConn the premier program in men's college basketball. He is one of the best assistant coaches in the country, and 1 of the key parts of arguably the best coaching staff in the country. So many good insights and stories!

Great show enjoy listening to your podcasts. The old Big East of the 80's along with the NBA (Celtic - Lakers) to me was the Golden Era of basketball. I thought the old Big East in the 80's was more popular than the NBA in the Northeast.
