just a thot, use 1/2" but at letters that have rounded parts use the tin, then it's just a matter of jointing the two different materials smoothly.

Do you think an acrylic sheet could possibly work for the “glass” piece?
@MakerDecor4 күн бұрын
Hi, yes I do it for the smaller one. But getting a larger plexiglass for the big one can be difficult and very expensive. Its possible, but depends on if you live next to a place that carries that size of plexiglass. Near me they do not, and shipping that size is more than the plexiglass itself. Thank you

Home Depot and Lowe’s has too many glue spots in their wood
@MakerDecor4 күн бұрын
Awesome, yeah I started going to Roddis a year or two ago. Been a game changer because the pricing is almost half and the quality is way better. Glue spots, wood knots and warped wood at the box stores is terrible. And roddis loads the material up for me and it's always quick. They are really nice too, I didn't think they would take small orders that's why I never went. But I took a chance and they do, it's been great having them in SA.

Hi ! Do you have an estimate on the cost for materials ?
@MakerDecor4 күн бұрын
I am sorry I do not as the price of lumber fluctuates a lot now. And can vary depending on where you live and where you shop. I am always afraid to say a price and then a year later pricing changes. Or somebody lives in a different state than me and pricing will be different. Then I know people will feel frustrated because I said I built it for this amount and they did not. I have all the supplies listed with images, but people are free to find those supplies at the place that gives them the best deal. Or cut and make some of them to save money. I am sorry about that, it can just open up a lot of issues. I will tell you probably can not be built for $100 anywhere. But someone can build it in one state for $200 maybe and someone can build it in another state for $400? It just varies so much when and where. Thank you

When reusing it next time, do you simply remove the stickers, or do you tear off the front sheet and replace it with a new one ya?
@MakerDecor20 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. I have a video where I discuss using vinyl. I will link it below. For this setup I attempted a new version of the vinyl for the first time which is thicker and less wrinkles. A little bit more expensive than the original vinyl. I haven't tried to remove the letters yet since this was the first setup with this version. I have all the links in the plans. The original version was just for one use, but not sure about this one? I will have to check it out and make a video for it. Good luck!

Great info on working with MDF & router & bit... Love this idea! Though one thought, align the guide to each line vs bit to line the guide to router--at least when you have extra you can cut off to fit (or leave area "open" and put shelves inside for storage, as well as nice display--pending planned use...).
@MakerDecor26 күн бұрын
Thanks, that does sound like a great idea to leave open and put shelves. Great tip!

Good morning thank you for your videos I love them. I have a question So the 2 separate pieces you built in the end you said add hinges? Am I to take the hinges down every time? Or you're saying it's best to turn into a folding wall?
@MakerDecor27 күн бұрын
Hi, I apologise I meant latch not hinges for the sides. I will link one down below what I mean. But you can kind of see it at the beginning of the video at the :07 mark on the white one. for the side. Just a latch to help keep it in place if you prefer. But I would wait till after you build it and decide if you need it. I never ended up adding it and did not have an issue using it. I hope that helps and please let me know if you have any questions along the way. Also sorry for the late reply. If you message the Etsy website I will answer a lot faster same day as I only check KZbin every couple of days. Good luck!
