My mother use to sing this song all the time she sang opera like no other, she passed away in 2012 ( 9 years later and my family is still in shock) but I finally got the courage to google and look this song up and as soon as I heard it I started crying 😭 this song will forever be in my ❤️ Rip Mommy I love ❤️and miss you immensely.

Treemonisha is an american jewel. Should definitely be added to the Met repertoire. I discovered it at 19 and have been in love with it since then.

Kiedyś pamiętam jak pracowałem na "dwónastki" w tym na nocach audycja leciał w radiu Zet około 3 w nocy. Zawsze chętnie Sensacji XX wieku słuchałem, ale to było dawno i nie prawda.

Dawno ale prawda, Też na nockach całą ekipa słuchaliśmy. W najtrudniejszym momencie miedzy 3 a 4 rano jakoś człowiek się tymi audycjami pobudzał. Potem do 6 już było z górki ;)

Its a shame that the Met has. Never staged Treemonisha while most of the Operas they Do perform are not even half as good thats why the Met has to beg for money they must be insane or maybe flat out Rascists ??? Treenmonisha has very beautiful strong melodies from start to finish

It took the Met 30 years to stage an all Black version of Porgy and Bess in 2019. It sold out. I was one of the fortunate in the audience. Lincoln Square was filled with enchantment the entire evening. I've seen Tremonisha staged by Cincinnati Opera. It was divine. Why don't we ask the Met to stage Tremonisha as the opening night attraction in 2025. Shouldn't that give all parties time to "Step up to the moment" with this grand American Opera?

I feel that Joplin's treemonisha is extremely underrated I do feel that the met will most likely stage at one day what are the big American offer is there to revive? And the fact that it took the met gala 2019 to use an all-black cast of porgy and Bess unfortunately shows that racism is penetrate the world of opera still I'm very sad situation for sure

Do Wołoszańskiego idealnie pasuje sentencja filozofa zamiany honoru na honorarium. Wołoszański swoim nazwiskiem uwiarygodnia kłamstwa nowo napisanej historii! Jak widać i dla Wołoszańskiego honoraria ważniejsze są od honoru . 17.08.2020

kzbin.info/www/bejne/a33LlJV8gpytnNk I did in 2001 this orchestration from a midi archive i found and came out very similar to this, only I entered the piano a little sooner , i respected the score by chopin and did not add any notes like all the performances i ve heard. En 2001 hice esta orquestación de un archivo midi que encontre y salio muy semejante a este, solo que empiezo con el piano un poco antes. Respete la partitura de Chopin y no agregue ninguna nota como en todas las ejecuciones que he escuchado.

Not one of Chopin's masterpieces, but interesting to hear anything by him. This orchestration is a bit overdone, but at least the editor didn't alter the structure of the music with his own free compositional additions.

Stanowczo ostatnimi czasy naduzywa sie slowa GENIUSZ....Mozdzer to swietny pianista (przede wszystkim technicznie ) bez watpienia - ale na czym niby jego GENIALNOSC polega ? Znowu zaczyna kombinowac po swojemu w RHAPSODY....Chcialbym kiedys uslyszec jedna kompozycje zagrana od poczatku do konca w wersji napisanej przez kompozytora...Chyba sie nie doczekam....Moze w koncu powinien zaczac grac wylacznie swoje wlasne utwory??...Chopin - znacznie wiekszy GENIUSZ, powiedzial kiedys do Liszta " albo graj moje utwory tak jak je napisalem -albo nie graj wogole..."..,..No, ale to MOJE zdanie.....
