I've just watched your ted talk and there is no question that valid science in a particular time and place does occur. I have travelled the world and am part Maori, value my natural instinct & intuition, and have recently examined the proposition that the Australian continent can be the blueprint to solve all current human induced landscape and climate problems. It offers the largest area, over the longest time with the least number of climate natural support systems, but plants evolved those conditions in the absence of herd/hard footed animals. So with that being said, I find the notion that the only way of solving our climate issues is by using the methods you have mentioned, to be completely absurd and deliberately ignoring many of the opportunities that have evolved in other parts of the world over TENS OF THOUSANDS of years. To be that narrow-minded about such a vast concept is to deny the people you are teaching the opportunity to create a landscape that lasts for another set of 10 of thousand of years in the future. It is one thing to utilise the fertility that animals leave behind, it is another thing to say that the planet had relied on that to keep existing. Even a cursory examination of the plant systems on the planet, shows they were millions of years ahead of the animals. Therefore, the alternative oppurtunities definitely exist and they equal = PLANTS - WATER - RECYCLING & BIODIVERSITY

The basic idea of suspending chlorophyll in a silkfiber matrix is beautiful. Congratulations :) O2 productivity and longevity of the “leaf” will be the critical points whether it will ever find application on a bigger scale.

This man, Savory, should executed slaughtering 50,000 elephants in Africa based on one of his other cockamamie "theories". His holistic management theories are pseudoscientific and have not been validated by any serious peer reviewed journal article. Hint, always check to see who sponsors a study. No substantial improvement has been seen in soil health, water retention, nutrient value, after implementing ONLY his techniques. Real improvements come from regenerative soil practices put forth by real scientists like Dr. Christine Jones. The most benefit comes from having multiple grass species in your grazing paddocks. This is not a Savory idea.

@klausbrinck21377 жыл бұрын
sorry, no intention to offence, but the UK IS stuck in the dark ages...the empire earlier, and in modern times 7 official wars and some 100,000 innocent people murdered after the WW2, and even the business-as-usual in the ciy of London (finances), are , to me , clear signs of barbarism... and this viscius circle was never broken since the dark ages...

Gold Standard BRT may be appropriate in certain situations but cannot hold a candle to Gold Standard rail in terms of speed, efficiency and environmental friendliness. Yes, rail systems cost more and take longer to build than BRT but in the long run they deliver a transportation service that delivers more reliable, faster and higher capacity systems. Just as important is that most rail systems adds infrastructure rather than displacing what already exists.
