Adobe has updated their ToS to allow them unlimited usage of art made by their customers, particularly for feeding their AI data banks. They are also being sued/investigated for making cancelling their plans extremely difficult and obtuse in an attempt to force people to continue paying for their products and services. Don't use Adobe products.
@screenprintermikeАй бұрын
As a production artist my job is to get art to the press. I couldn’t care less about the terms of service. Been using it for over 30 years and made a good living doing it.

this is great but only works good if you have a mockup with texture like your patch....most of the time we are mocking up hats because we want to see what a digital design would look like with texture, so this is missing a key aspect of mockups. i appreciate the help for other parts of building out the mockup though!

I usually use the embroidery stitch sheet and recolor as necessary. It is a great visual for embroidery.
@jzdpdАй бұрын
you don't even need to use photoshop for this, there's a halftone pattern fill in illustrator
@screenprintermikeАй бұрын
as screen printers we need to be able to adjust the LPI, angle and dot shape so we can match that with the proper mesh count to avoid a moire pattern and halftone clipping. On a large dot like this it soesn;t matter but as a practice using photoshop is the way for "screen printers"

If that were the case it would have had more consistency. There were several places where there were gaps with no color behind them.
@AviyaleTalesАй бұрын
@screenprintermike they didn't send you the design so you could change it up on them Atleast tell me you messaged them first before you assumed
@screenprintermikeАй бұрын
@@AviyaleTales Designer made the design, screen printer needed it sepped. As a production artist, this is what we do, make things printable. On a digital process, like banners, doesn't matter. The client is well aware of the modifications as it was explained to him in the proofing process. Also to similar shades of gray were used and that was combined into one to save a color in printing. Once again the customer is happy. I have been "modifying" art like this for over 30 years.

What’s wrong with the blue parts?
@screenprintermikeАй бұрын
these slivers of color would never hold in the screen for printing and should be eliminated. They weren’t part of the design, just sloppy work.

Completely different creature with a gradient mask you are using a gradient from one color to another where this is simply masking a premade texture that is a placed image

It's not mind boggling at all and has nothing to do with how we perceive colours, but rather how LCD screens behave at a subpixel level. Don't believe me? Take a photo of the screen and zoom in.
@JonathanGray892 ай бұрын
It's all about perception. Any neutral light consists of an even mixture of colours. That's true regardless of whether the source is an LCD screen or natural light. There is red, but there is also enough blue and green to make it neutral. Don't believe me? Look at the RGB values for the red and it will be an even mixture but look at the white and you will notice a distinct drop in the red channel.
@MaxPanic2 ай бұрын
@@JonathanGray89 Take a photo of the screen with your phone and zoom in. You’ll see the pixels that make up the Coke can are not white but partially a magenta/pinky colour. Actually the left side of the white pixel column will be tinted magenta and the right side will be tinted cyan.
