NFL Films did a better job in putting the highlights of Super Bowl X than they did for Super Bowl XIII. They did begin with the Cowboys fumbling on their opening possession in Steelers territory. Didn't show the Steelers back to back sacks of Staubach on their 2nd possession. Instead after Tony Hill's touchdown that tied the game, the highlights began with a 2nd quarter Steelers possession with the score tied at 14...then Steelers 1st quarter possession when Bradshaw threw an interception....then the Steelers last possession of the first quarter with a strip sack of Bradshaw by Harvey Martin....then on Pittsburgh's first possession of the 2nd quarter the 2nd strip sack of Bradshaw which Cowboys linebacker Mike Hegman returned for a touchdown

Not that the other championships are to be ignored, but this one is the Raider's finest moment. Truly dominant. I remember watching this game live and love seeing the replays. I feel like we are on track for something great in the near future.

I don't remember any suspense in this game throughout, no powerful play or moment when it seemed the Eagles were threatening to make it a contest, after the called back pass to Carmichael.

Remarkably, Vikings played in four of the first 11 Superbowls losing all four but haven't reached the Super Bowl since losing this game to the Raiders. It's 2024 😳

O'Donnell made his errant throws but that phantom offensive PI call on Irvin was the refs doing what they could to help the Steelers. Number 37 for Pittsburgh fell not because Irvin pushed off but because 37 slipped and fell trying to make a play.

Rich Caster certainly went far and beyond matching King step for step down that sideline as long as he could. Almost like Drew Pearson escorted Tony Dorsett's 99 yard TD run against the Vikes until he ran out of gas.

To convey domination in Super Bowls, it's a toss-up which NFL Films tune is more catchy and powerful, Conquest (here) or Blockbuster (Cowboys/Broncos) or Juggernaut (Steelers/Rams). All three summon up an image of a steamroller squashing everything in its path.

Denver’s offensive game plan in this game consisted of one play: The shovel pass. It’s like they already knew before game time that it was going to get ugly.
