Like all the other comments I so far have not managed to get the last bar in place but I just left it tucked under the bottom strutts in place. It only cost £19 so I am ok about that and hopefully the fabric will stretch with use..

Robens claim the 2 person can withstand 200kph winds on their website (this is the reason I bought the tent). Mine failed in moderate wind but wasn't strong enough to knock me off balance... got a replacement and then they said "using the tent in high winds voids the warranty". seems massively misleading for them to boast it's strength in wind and not standby those claims... I've since switched to a Fjallraven abisko lite 1 which I know is a storm worthy shelter should I get caught out. Not going to touch Robens products with a bargepole from now on.

This doesn't actually tell how to pitch with guy lines because it doesn't show how to adjust them. You also don't pitch guy lines. You pitch a tent using guy lines. 🤦‍♂️

Selecting between the XL and Double version. Whereas XL has water pull out holder, and 4 compartments underneath. But - I find there a little space left to prepare food. Double version is longer, takes less space to pack, but has only 2 compartments beneath. Tough choices 🙂

@@mikes4086 I found something online, not completely sure if it’s true: You push the valve out to inflate and turn until you hear a click (it might be a bit tough at first) to the unlock side (there should be a little icon on the sides of the valve with the arrow on the actual valve). When using it, turn until you hear a click to the lock side. To deflate, push the valve in. Thats what I tried. This is what google said about the inflating: At first, it takes around 2 hours to inflate. After the first use, it takes 5-10 minutes to inflate. See if that helps (sorry it’s a bit late, I see you commented this a month ago)

Yeah, quite. I have left mine unattached on that end in the hope that the fabric will stretch enough to get it into place. But happy still with the purchase and will let you know. I just left that end tucked underneath for the time being.

Every reputable source said to put the tent pegs in straight. They've done studies that show perpendicular insertion is the best way.

This is the 300, not the 300+ which has an extended canopy. I've got the regular 300, it's light and cheap, and seems OK. It's a bit flappy, the fly sits quite high above the ground so not good for winter use or cold windy nights. There's no internal roof hook or loop to hang a light from, that's a shocking oversight. There isn't much venting mesh, so condensation on the fly is inevitable, but it's cheap as chips, huge inside and not stupidly heavy. Perfect for one nighters in warm summer camps. The additional matching footprint is a must, make the porch much more useable.
