Great video. Thanks. Do you wait 5 mins after running before checking oil?
@ghostlyrich21 сағат бұрын
Yes so let oil warm up to temp then turn off car and check oil 5 minutes after turning it off

I think you were talking with AI on the phone. They seem to have the same expressions as Uber support. Hard to explain and this is just a hunch. This video makes me want to write a disturbing dubstep song with your conversation.

Hmm ...... Yours have those like same bumps on the side of the shocks as well ..... Are those actual original to the truck???? Wow ... Well I have a 98 Sonoma so identical to yours in the suspension and underpinnings of it. Any I think mine were as bad like yours there or even worse too. Mine just collapse by gravity scary enough they were like the toy shocks on like mid grade RC cars without the oil in them so you can imagine how awful my truck felt. Changed them, now the truck feels MONEY I love it now makes it easier to drive too actually. It's a manual and it acting like a low rider made it incredibly hard to keep your hands on stuff lol. Good stuff there, also interested how that red locktite got there something that has to be serviced every now and then shouldn't have something you need to torch off.... Oh well late to the game here on the video, you can also break the stud with a deep well and a long extension and rocking back and forth. That just splits the stud and snaps it off old guy on the facebooks said that once there.

Very similar to a Golf MK7 even though this isn't one, thanks for the video. Needed something to go off of. Just had to remove my front seatbelts for refurbishment because the airbag deployed and the belts locked up with it.

I have the recessed allen heads. Did you mark the flexplate and coupler?
@ghostlyrich7 күн бұрын
Did bother in this case since literally everything was hot tanked and cleaned
@elemuelcrankfield23507 күн бұрын
@ghostlyrich did you have to remove the coupler to get to the bolts o Im concerned about marking it because there are no good references to mark
@ghostlyrich7 күн бұрын
@elemuelcrankfield2350 sorry i ment didnt but it put did. I way to mark the flex plate and torque tube coupler is take a paint pen. Paint the tip of one of the bolt tips and make a line to it on flex plate so there in a line then when you put engine back in can just line the line of flex plate up back with the paint thread

Pulling that small, front grill is a bit scary! You gotta pull those plastic tabs out really hard! Mine released with a loud "CRACK!" I thought I'd surely broken some plastic, but all was fine. Same with bumper, when it was time to pull it off the tabs held fast & I had to use a plastic scraper to release them. I also had a hell of a time unplugging the two headlights, the plug was incredibly tight & I had to use a vise grip. It's a bigger & longer job & more work than a video will make it out to be, but it's not difficult.

When drilling the hole. It is cleaner to run the hole saw backwards. It leaves a nice clean cut that needs no clean up.

so only for hp gain? will the car run rich if i don’t get it tuned right away. and if so will it damage my engine? like could i wait a couple months after getting the headers put in to get it dyno tuned?

You could for sure wait, there is a chance of check engine light from higher flow from no cats or less restrictive cats

- Warm up engine for 3 min @idle (don't do it hot) - Jack up driver's side and use a secondary mechanism to support the jack (for your sake) - Loosen oil cap, remove drain plug and let drain - Remove filter and wipe off all surrounding area - Fill NEW filter with oil and install (to mitigate that first "dry" pump) - Replace drain plug (maybe 9Nm or 4lb ft - just snug not rompin' tight) - Check your work - Lower vehicle - Pour NEW Oil in at the specifications - Replace oil cap - Check Work - Start Car for 30 seconds - Reset your Oil Minder - Check Oil Level on Dipstick and ensure you are not overfilled

Hey man found your video fairly helpful. Found this remedy on a forum to fix my rough engine idle at stopping and starting. Your video helped me out with knowing where sensors and screws were to take apart and procedures on how to clean with battery and connector disconnected from the throttle body prior to cleaning. My constructive criticism is your video was kinda backwards as most people can put things back together once they know how to take it apart. Your video only showed the putting back together and i think showing how to take apart and clean would have been more important. Just in case you wanted to make another video or for your next one ;) thanks for being the most helpful that i could find for this issue, i appreciate you.

Hello, I will be installing the 100” version in my basement, the walls are lower but i do have the 68” from top of ceiling to bottom of stand as seems to be required. This does mean that the stand will have to be very low profile like 10” off floor, do you think this will be an issue? thanks!

Hi ghostlyrich, great demonstration and detailed. It surely gets a bit difficult with one hand holding the phone. Only one suggestion is, it is worthwhile opening the motor section as there is a filter in there that Dyson does not mention.
