I don't remember, but most likely 30, although I took a break at 29 due to the recording time restraints at the time.

As of this comment, only Gladion's Silvally. Rosa's Syrperior, Marnie's Grimmsnarl, and Kris' Feraligatr were the only other 5-stars I had so far capable of reaching EX.

I don't know other than it needs to be done in Tournament Mode. I reached first on all the tournaments and tried to get at least a birdie on each of the holes there. According to a Game FAQ, getting a better score on every course, front and back tees, is the key.

Recently started playing this game again and even though I’m over 600 wins and no losses it’s so hard for me to rank up. I just want to hit champion haha

After reaching 1st Dan, win against SAME RANKED opponents, either by consecutive wins or have more wins than losses (WPs), to rank up. When you get to Guardian, you can also rank up to Hero by a single win against a Hero. Then, as a Hero, have a even bigger win-streak (I believe 15) against Guardians to become Champion or you'll go down to Guardian again.
