I admire the restraint in this scene from Tony, McGee & Gibbs. I imagine the three of them were extremely tempted to punch Jake's lights out for cheating on Bishop. *Especially* Gibbs. Tony and McGee treat her like a sister and Gibbs treats her like a daughter. One of Gibbs' ex-wives cheated on him. So he was perfectly justified to be angry with Jake here. He had felt the same kind of betrayal.

Is it just me or is does anyone sense a recurring theme in the show that once some form of a relationship ship starts, it ends at the same time cause one character decides to leave.

The writers said it before in interviews. They want it to be a crime show. Not a drama. So I guess that explains why there aren’t many onscreen relationships. Sadly I think. they could’ve managed it a lot better in the past.

Ik it’s a crime show but they could still include some onscreen relationships. Doesn’t have to be a lot of screen time for relationships but at least a little. Just because it’s a crime show doesn’t mean it can’t contain some other elements. But at the same time, perhaps they are unable to do so with the given type of crime show

I have a theory: The fact that she died off screen was also emphasized in an article that I don't remember right now. But there has been hint of a possible return to the character, it seems to me. Look here: maybe, and it's some kind of hypothesis/dream, she's not really dead but she's been replaced for some obscure reason. Can you imagine it?

If looks could kill, Jake would have been dead from the glare Tony and McGee were giving him even BEFORE Gibbs added to the mix. Jake really stepped into the lion’s den in this scene, because all three of these agents could have kicked his butt all over Washington DC… Jake is lucky Gibbs showed him any mercy whatsoever.

The only reason Jake walked out that office was because he was a firend and had helped them with Sergei, otherwise given the looks the guys were giving Jake, he'd would have been crawling out the office and that was before Gibbs got the bat he keeps under the desk.
