Does the HIPEC chemo advised for the ovariosn mature teratoma with adenocarcinoma which at stage I beginning. And does chemo without HIPEC will be helpful considering the cons of HIPEC in young married women having no children, but expecting to be mother in near future. What is the maximum window period to pull on for HOPEC chemo.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm about halfway through 4 week radiation for prostate cancer. I'm also getting hormone therapy. I've noticed an intermittent slight reduction in my urine stream. Not sure what is causing it. No pain or discomfort - it just takes longer to urinate.

I am 78 years old and had my first treatment 2 weeks ago and the side effects are terrible!! Peeing 15 times per day and 5-6 times per night…literally every time I stand up I have to make a dash for the toilet where I pee I little bit and then have to wait several minutes to get the stream started again…..also it is painful to start the pee and then burns like hell during the pee. I’m now taking 2 meds to help me pee and will start another med tomorrow to help with the urgency and frequency. Needless to say I am not going through with the second treatment. I still have some swelling from the procedure and I can’t stress enough that I don’t think that I’m in the low few % of those individuals that have bad side effects…..if you are planning this treatment I would urge you to think again!!

Yeah they make it sound that urinary symptoms are less than 2 percent. I thought they tend not to treat cancers of prostate because they grow slower after 75. Maybe permanent seeds are better. Where did you have it done at?

I have read comments from people on other videos who had HDR and they said that the side effects concerning urine control was very painful for up to six months to a year. And nothing has ever been discussed about sexual functions such as erections or ED. Could you expand on those side effects? Thank you.

Well, this is fascinating. Thank you for this vivid and clear explanation! Question: Why do you wake up the patient early i the process? Why not just let them be under a general anesthesia the entire time?
@elultimo1023 жыл бұрын
I had 2 in 12/20. They told me that they don't want to keep you anesthetized for too long. The treatment is painless. The worst part is taking all the needles out at once. It hurts for I would guess, is about a minute---It just feels like forever. (This is one time when having two girls in your junk is NOT fun).

I sure wish my wife had her as her surgical oncologist. She us a good communicater and seams to understand the team concept exceptionally well. Instead we had dr parvez, who may have explained things well un the begining, but as soon as things went wrong, noone could seam to get a response from her. Not us, not other drs in the same hospital that she worked at, her cancer care team could barely fet a response from her. Cancer care has some good people there, but just hope your lucky enough to get one of them.

Don't post this shit anywhere on my KZbin please. I have a condition where I think I have every disease known to man. Any time I see these, I'm certain I have cancer now too. Glad you're doing whatever, but unless I get it for real, I don't want to see this anywhere within a 5000ft radius.

I'm really pleased on how you care team there takes such good care of my brother in law while he gets his treatments. I just wish he would rest more instead of running around here and there because when it comes time for the next treatment he doesn't have no energy to tolerate the treatment then he feels all weak because prior to a week before his he's using up all his engerys doing this and that driving long distances and afterwards feels all crappy. Dr. if you see this u know whom I'm talking about I'm just concerned be if he keeps on like this exposing himself in public to much and his immune system is low how is he going to get better and fight this because he can't tolerate the treatment because he's running around doing this and that.
@lindahildebrand39444 жыл бұрын
As long as his white blood count is doing good there is no reason why he cannot stay active. It is normal to not have any energy immediately after Chemo. It depends on the type of cancer he has and a bunch of factors.

Dr Holbrook, my mother shared this video with our family. You operated on her 6 and 1/2 years ago, and saved her from stage VI small bowel cancer. I wanted to say thank you for everything you do, and thank you for saving a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. We have been making many unforgettable memories these last several years and those dark days of fearing for her life seem only like a distant wisp of a nightmare we had long ago. God bless you and your work!
