thanks for the video!! you might be able to save some time by just offsetting each layer automatically within the Keyframe Assistent, then instead of pick whipping use the dropdown and it's always the very close first layer. Seems like saving microseconds, but in total you might save quite some time in the end.

am i the only person who cant get this expression to work lol, can someone please help out a fellow aspiring graphic designer. the layers aren't being controlled by the slider.

Anyone else having a problem getting the script to work? The solution for me was to copy the opacity expression (simple Ctrl+C on Opacity), shift select all other layers of the sequence and Ctrl+V.

I didn’t see how you make tracking data layer. I tried to copy into null, but my expression won’t work. Is saying layer named ‘trackingData’ is missing or does that exist 😭
@NRGvideoproduction2 ай бұрын
I keep getting error saying tracking data layer missing or does not exist. Maybe because I put tracking data in Null layer?

this is great, i've found lately for this type of cascade building in the timeline, do the old trick of making all the layers one frame and then right click and auto arranging them all to offset by one, then go to the end of the timeline, select all and Ctrl+], then to quickly move down them all for parenting, it's Ctrl down and then just press "i" to go to the input of that layer before parenting, probably only saves a little time but a few times i've had that trio of Ctrl key in a cycle to go through and it becomes really tedious so that removes just a few keystrokes for you on each step

For a quick way to do it, instead of going through the whole PNG process, you could try using the Echo effect with the rotoscoped layer. This won't allow all the control and the nice touch you gave it at the end of course. Great tutorial, by the way! Loved the titles!
@willrushton55793 ай бұрын
Echo doesn’t freeze time, simply delays it. If you do a super short delay of 1 frame with lots of echos it will create the illusion of freezing but the trail is moving. Now if you add a greater delay between echos you will see that your trails will have motion to them rather than frozen if that makes sense.

Am I mistaken or instead of going down and one frame over cant u select all the images, go one frame over (cmd shift D) delete the fluff, parent them en mass, and then use the layer organizer thing from the top it’s like animation something, I’m forgetting rn, and have these automatically reordered? And this is a really cool tutorial thanks for the break down!
