Good vid. Is it true that on the 8 foot bed there is an gap between the rear of the Decked system and the front of the bed? Thanks sir.

Thank you! On this system for the 2008, the deck system doesn't extend flush to the tailgate leaving that small space but honestly I'm not certain about the 8ft'r. 👍🏻

Hey @Texanj do you know how long those 4 hook anchors are? If you could measure it please. I got my books and they are seriously short and my system looks small on my 06 f250. I feel like I got the wrong vehicle box. But it came with the right I instruction manual. I got a open box product when I bought it. So I feel like someone accidentally swapped the manuals. Thanks!

Hi Nick, I have 2 different sizes that were used on my 08f250 super duty. 2 of the hooks were 10" and 2 were 7 1/4". I bet if you call DECKED customer service they would confirm if you have the correct size. They have been great with questions I had.

That seems like a big gap. I have watched other videos also that show the deck coming out till it’s almost touching the tailgate. I wish Decked would address this on the super duties, and also they should make an actual 8’ drawer system. Just my two cents.

You are 100% correct. That gap almost prevented me from purchasing it but after the install it wasn't to much of an issue for me.

On there website it states that the drawers, even with that amount of gap, can not be opened with the tailgate closed, is this accurate?

@@firstnationsoverland411 Yes, thats pretty accurate. With the tailgate closed on my 2008 f250 Super Duty I have about 3.5 inches of space which definitely isn't enough to pull the drawer open. The handle itself needs several inches of clearance to release the drawer. Hope this helps!

how vehicle specific is it? I have an 05 f250 and found a used one coming out of a 2016 f250. Both short beds. Was wondering if the gaps on the side of the beds were different and they weren't compatible?
