My people-pleasing tendencies came from always wanting to be the perfect daughter to my parents. As a first child and only daughter in a Nigerian household, I was praised for the times I got things right as a child and I clung to that so much that I hated to seem unpleasant in any way. I also felt the burden of being a role model to my younger siblings, so I always felt the need to put up the facade of perfection, which led to a spiral of people-pleasing behaviours. I am glad that God heals and He has healed me, I am still learning how to say No and be myself but I am glad that I am no longer where I used to be ❤️.

I am the same, I am currently 25 and striving to become a psychologist because it feels like in my life being Nigerian and being sensitive has been looked down upon. I am slowly learning that I am a highly sensitive person. I have to remind myself, that everything that people can do like confrontation is different for me. I read how some of the villian are usually meek people. Honestly, I feel like I went to many things you described.

So here's the tea. The beautiful thing about being a Christian and a child of God is the power of choice and free will. God gave us free will, so even when you're tempted, you have the power to decide whether or not you'll fall into that temptation. Take Adam and Eve, for example. They were tempted, they had a choice, and they fell. God forgave them, but there were still consequences. The same goes for cheating-there are consequences. As a cheater, the consequence could be losing the relationship or losing trust. While God forgives, it's important to note that cheating is not God's will. God does not approve of adultery, so it's up to you to decide whether you're going to forgive that person. But if sis decides not to, I think even God would understand, chile.
