Great info in the video, the key difference for me was zero withdrawal symptoms, physical or mental, not even within the first thirty days, after Steffon Barkload and what he suggested it's been 9 months now it's like it never was a problem, reading that last version goolging what he put up. Was a super relief I didn't need AA or meds either.

Interesting spin. I have not seen Seduced yet but did watch all 15 episodes of the docu-series The Vow and it was fascinating. In this day and age with everyone turning away from religion and toward "spirtualism", self-help, etc., I totally see how all of these women (and men) became seduced with the ideas being "taught". As a survivor of domestic violence, I know how subtle brainwashing is and how corrosive it is to reality. I am not convinced this "Most Evil Hypnotist Alive" is as Machiavellian as you are portraying her. And certainly, some of your conclusions regarding her role just don't fit... what is her motive for purposely building the pyramid scheme in order to create the sex cult for him? It is illogical. I think it is far more plausible that this man with a 240 IQ outmanuevered her (and all of the followers) by using her knowledge, expertise, traumas, and vulnerability into a scheme that he became consumed by as his power grew so too did his hubris which inevitably led to the "sex cult". I could be wrong. Just my two cents. I am on the side of the victims and see all of those who left and fought to get justice as heroes! #thevow #HBO #justiceserved

I'm one of the 20%. Many years ago I took part in a scientific research programme into hypnosis. They tried different kinds of inductions and each one failed. They tried various approaches, for instance saying softly "your arm is feeling heavy... so heavy you can't lift it". I responded by waving my arms around. w It went on for two one-hour sessions. In the end they told me I couldn't be hypnotised. The problem is that I can't enter into a trance. I just can't stop my brain: I try to force myself to relax, but that can't work - force and relaxation don't go together.

The hypnosis worked, but my ability to read came back after the first one :(. I have been able todo a lot of things that should require you to go pretty deep, but it always takes a longer period of time to get my mind ready. I wonder if adding something to make your vision blurry and unfocused would have helped.

I'm so bored of hypnosis it doesn't work anymore because I trained my mind to overcome addiction that not the bad part the part is just that fact that I was hoping I could still have small enjoyments like this but if I try too hard to will cause pain which might go away over time but I'm not going to test that, I don't want to accidently injure myself. also big sad when you have as much control as I have there no way I can think of that hypnosis can have any effect even with conversational hypnosis this after a long time I reckon it will be good but the level of control my mind has over itself it pathologically too powerful, inducing pain if I don't stop, it's not going to, I hope this doesn't affect any future relationships in my future cause that would land me in what caused my addiction in the first place accept it would be depression without the addiction, though there could be a bright side to this where I see the bright side of life and find the pain goes down potentially completing the neurological anti addiction circuit, little the brain learns through memory and synapse association how to adapt past addiction, so that sounds frickin cool.

A circus hypnosis... hmm, that so reminds me of one of my first exposures to hypnosis, as I'm sure a lot of others were. That being an episode of the original Scooby-Doo. The "Ghost Clown" has a magical gold coin that he uses to hypnotize Scooby, Shaggy, and Daphne.

Also, I've watched a video on the butterfly induction before, and it didn't work then. I don't know if I'm just better at being hypnotized, or if your technique better replicates doing it in person. Or maybe just keeping everything fast just works better.

Well, I did get to level 1, which was nice. (Something I'd only done once before, earlier today!) It really felt like level 2 might work, as the trance felt intense, and I was genuinely expecting it to work, only to be disappointed.) That said, I don wonder how mush a bit of confusion cost me. When you said "elevator" for the first time, I heard "alligator." And I had to think pretty hard to figure out what you meant. I think the /v/ was just too soft for me. I stuck around after that, not knowing if I could get off, but I presumed it would be better to proper woken up. But the trance was much less after that disappointment with my arm not even hesitating. I note that it's actually possible to practice the eye thing. With the eye thing, it's harder to open your eyes if you look up and tense up,You can do it, but I instinctually try to move my eyeballs up instead of my eyelids, and have to stop and think to get it to work--even if I start fully conscious. So I've kinda rehearsed my eyes being stuck. Is there anything like that for practicing what it would feel like to not be able to move it?
@ZipplyZane
@ZipplyZane 2 ай бұрын
That is intriguing, BTW, how well that works with the camera doing the moving. I had thought the person actually moving their eyes was important. I even tried it again and stayed completely motionless, and it still worked. And it's ridiculous how fast my hand went up. This never would have happened before I actually learned how to get hypnotized. Heck, I'm not sure it would work if I was in a different brain space that I was in early today, when all hypnosis seemed weak. BTW, di dyou know that you can be worn out and tired and make it all fail, and that eating and drinking and getting your head cleared up can help? I'm actually going to try your suggestibility test, as it seems I am more suggestible than I used to be. Maybe I can go a bit further.

Hi Johanna, been a while since I commented. Life got in the way and whatnot. As Grace Smith said, "hypnosis is NOT stage shows". Which, incidentally, was my first exposure to hypnosis. There was a stage hypnotist at my elementary school one time. It was only later on in life that I became aware of hypnotherapy and people using hypnotherapy for traumatic memories, or habits like smoking and drinking. I have seen so many transformative experiences from people using hypnotherapy. I haven't forgotten about possibly booking a session with you. I just have to get a webcam and learn how to use Zoom.

@@johannadinsdale Yeah, I've been pretty good. I was sick with a cold last week, but the main reason I commented on this video is because I frequently have dreams of my last workplace, sometimes as frequently as 3 nights a week. It's been an ongoing issue for a couple of years now, and I'd like to know why. As such, I'm interested in hypnosis.

I have experimented a little, but it rarely seems to work. I am very analytical, and the confusion induction (open eyes on even numbers, or was it odd numbers? haha I remember to forget...) might start to work but I am never sure that I quite make it. And, see my comment about the anchor, I easily get distracted and drift back to reality.

welp, wouldn't it be nice if this worked. XD - I was even already quite relaxed, hopeful but not anxiously expectant, just going along ... even tried to "fake it till you make it" ... and felt nothing whatsoever, not to mention no effect ... - I don't even think I "resist" hypnosis. It's like my brain is too damp for any spark to form to begin with.
