Are you sure this is Bernstein conducting? Because this has some of Kostelenatz’s changes.

This may be the most musically satisfying interpretation of the Haydn trumpet concerto, no surprise since Herseth was a legend with the CSO, supported by my vote for best orchestra in the world, at least at the time of the recording.

Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way to Heaven. We've all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins like lying, lusting, etc. Repent and trust only in Jesus, and you will be saved! You can be saved because he took the punishment for our sins on himself when he died on the cross, just like someone can pay your speeding fine in court, and you get off free. Romans 3:23 John 3:16

It's amazing that the study score title page has the key wrong! Great performance.

When I worked in a megastore classical department in the 90s, certain young edge-lords, Anon's dads I guess you could say, used to come in all the time and ask for Xenakis, Berio, Stockhausen etc etc expecting the answer to be "we don't have any", and prepare to leave in a righteous huff. But the buyer happened to have a large budget and blew it on a bunch of those recordings. Cue much confusion as the Anons of the 90s were faced with the dilemma of having to buy the damned stuff to save face. They'd usually just leave, deflated.

There are parts of this that if it was more cohesive and directed better as a whole would be an amazing horror film soundtrack instead it sounds like an autistic person bleaching out the most demented sounds possible for the sake of attention or recognition

The last really fine piece from his pen. Shortly he would abrogate meaning in his music, making it just a didactic exercise. We lost a great composer when he made that decision. And the pieces that still get performed prove that.
