Happy Hump Day CZ!!!! I hope this wasn't done because there is a problem with the tree. 🤞🤞 Just maintenance I'm hoping. Lots of questions for this one. 😃 Did you have to bring someone in to do the pruning or is someone whom works there qualified to do it? Will this help with the tree to grown more coconuts? Will you use the palms for enrichment for the an animal there at the zoo?

Yes, we had to bring in our friends from Bartlett Tree Experts to help prune the tree. The tree regularly grows coconuts! The palm fronds and coconuts will be used as enrichment around the zoo.

Happy Monday Calgary Zoo. Thanks for sharing the exams and the good news on their spud-tacular health for them. 👍👍 Two girls and a boy hey!!!! 🎉🎉 Can you tell me since you're seeing them in person. And my eyes won't judge unless I see them in person. 👀👀 Are the three of them different sizes? Or pretty darn close to each other? And will they grow much more? 😃😃

The male is a little bigger but they appear almost identical! They will grow to adult size around three years of age.

This is a back-of-house space in our Pallas's cat habitat, which looks very different from the public viewing area. For the safety of our staff, there is always a barrier between teams and our animals as seen in this video.

Hoof or foot care is so important for animals in captive situations. Their feet don’t wear down the way they would in the wild. The tapir seems to be very calm and even soothed by the techniques filmed here. Thank you - I learned a lot!

'Tanuck' is also a senior tapir which impacts his hooves. He seems to really enjoy this training and treatment!

Brilliant video thank you 🙏 did you know that also in Alberta is Edmonton Lucy 🐘 vets report her in privation Edmonton zoo manager fixes Lucy’s evaluations as reported by vets from the FTW charity in 2022. Edmonton #yegzoo deliberately sent away the companion 🐘 that lucy loved talked to, enjoyed trunk hugs. That violated Federal law as no female 🐘 should be kept alone and it was a Deliberate act to send Samantha 🐘away. As stated openly by council in the 2005 publication the plan was to keep Lucy alone to avoid building a legal habitat (although they violated alberta zoo standards still by not doing so!) and it states lucy is purely held as a 💰 making icon. The same Edmonton council publication on pages 36/37/38 clearly states lucy can safely travel they could send her away it says they could bring in an Asian 🐘 companion. But the option they chose says “be ready for peta” because they know keeping lucy alone will result in extreme suffering . Edmonton management are caza , they did nothing about Marineland when all the 🐋 were dying in the notorious 🐋 jail and these same people write themselves special dispensations and keep Lucy in privation to this day. The finest 🌎vets experts sent many reports to the authorities who still won’t stop the zoo manager from fixing evaluations and even in 2022 when 2 independent experts from Free the wild states Lucy can safely travel and YegZoo is hurting lucy the zoo manager told the council utter crap and somehow gets away with it! Here take a look please and help lucy - the best expert in the world for moving elderly elephants even 70/80/90 year old 🐘! is Lek Chailert - she is honoured globally by world leaders , governments, the UN and has many documentaries made about her pioneering achievements. Lek told me herself that she can safely move lucy and would gladly help. Did you know that when Lek who is a top ten global conservationist visited Edmonton . The yeg zoo locked lucy out of sight and refused to talk ! Can you imagine a zoo that claims conservation hiding a wild animal from a world renowned expert ! That’s how crap Edmonton is and why I’m hoping as your both in Alberta that your team effort for your elephants can influence Edmonton . Everything I’ve said all the vet reports reporting Lucy’s injuries and unsanitary conditions all the gov FOI documents detailing it was deliberate to keep Lucy alone despite her wanting companionship of 🐘 is on here neatly listed sites.google.com/view/free-lucy-the-elephant/home

Thank you for your concern for their welfare. Cont Edmonton zoo in Canada and tell the S.O.B.'S TO send Lucy to a Sanctuary so she can live with other elephants and be happy. She's be alone, I believe over 11 years. They won't let her go. She does tricks, paints and the zookeepers carry bull hooks
