Another reason why tophers venom scared you all so much is because most of his design was practical and not 100% CGI. They used "John Carpenters The Thing " as motivation for how the symbiote looked and moved. As well and how it consumed eddie. You can see how the symbiote bonds with eddie from the inside out. Creating new muscles, making his teeth sharpen, reforming his body . You can see the symbiote inside his veins if you look closely They had to tone down the scariness because sam raimi got too carried away with the potential horror aspects of the symbiote and led to test audiences kids screaming on at the ending. But all that gets sweeped under the rug because topher wasnt big enough. I call bullshit. Id take 07 venom over the goofy shit that tom hardy's version brings us. Toms venom has been reduced to talking like a 10 year old fornight kid high on sugar. Nothing remotley scary about him. The movies in my opinion are complete garbage. They are written and directed with no love what so ever. The peoole that write these movies are terrible at their job. But because venom is the size of a house they think its good. I dont care if a movie is comic book accurate at the expense of a good well written and well thought out movie

Good job doing your research brother . One reason why 2018 venom is so big is because hes 100% CGI now. Which all but guarantees that ANYONE in the future can be venom. Eddie brock doesnt matter anymore. No one will need to bulk up like topher did. No real suit the actor has to were, nothing. And venom has a name before it even binds to brock. Making the union between brock and the symbiote mean less. Because of the 2018 movie everyone is saying the symbiote is venom which its not. Venom= 2 beings the angry black symbiote and the ragefull eddie brock. Thats why they had two voices coming out when they talked. In order to captain the ship you needed to captains and one would not work without the other. Making and the symbiote "venom" makes eddie brock pointless.

The only thing I didn’t like about Topher Grace’s version was that he didn’t have any conversations with the symbiote and never referred to himself as “we” instead of “I.” It just seemed like he acted more like Carnage than Venom on that regard because they just referred themselves as just one entity. That’s one thing I can say Tom achieved better.

Tom hardys venom is like a comedian:- youd rather be trapped in a room with him other than that merciless monster from spiderman 3 he just toys around with you maybe uses you then it ditches you laughs then goes back to eddie Riamis venom is so unknown, we dont even know much about it all we know is that it wants to kill anything it sees even its own host its also really strong without a host and its going to kill anything, doesnt matter if its its host or anything plus the original ending shows how dangerous the symbiote is, it made peter naked as soon as he tore the suit off and it took eddies skin organs brain everything this venom is underrated hated too much but they dont even know the horror potential of what this venom can do

Novel was even spookier with Eddie's demise. When Peter pulled out Eddie, it was all bones and skull had fangs instead of regular teeth. Even Venom symbiote wanted to either immediately eat or permanently bond with Peter. Peter was lucky to have those pipes and use his webs to pull them down.

Lets be honest sp3 venom is better and realistic and lets not forget the first concept ending is the real ending not the kid friendly ending

I agree with the height thing, but at the same time I can understand what they were going for when they cast this actor. They wanted to create a mirror to Peter Parker and in this aspect Topher Grace was absolutely perfect.

I love him for the design as well as the writing, in my opinion venom being a behemoth of a thing doesn’t make him and different from the hulk, this venom is much skinnier while still being buff and the sounds it makes are crazy
