Husband, as st. Pavel said, is obliged to love his wife as Jesus Christ loves church, so he doesn't have right to pressure her and abuse her physically, emotionally or being manipulative. God doesn't want people to suffer, so they have every right to leave abisive spouses.

I wish my estranged wife would have listened to this video as well as me. My first wife and I had the perfect marriage, but stayed together through all the struggles as one flesh and soul. My current spouse has her friends/paramour to live her life with and will never experience the joy related in this video.

Wow.. This IS a wonderful teaching. The best I have heard as it pertains to what marriage actually is in Gods eyes. One of my most broken moments in this life was after the break up of my second marriage and I in a totally prone position asked God to protect me from myself and instruct me. In other words I asked God to protect my heart. It was in a matter of weeks that God responded in spades as I was sitting in the first row of Santa Crus Bible Church listening to this message being presented for the very first time. And, ya know what? I thought I was as broken as I could get. Wrong. It was AFTER listening to Chip's expose of marriage that I was TRULY broken. But know this, it is that place where the hardened soil of my heart was tilled and ready for the seed of Truth to grow. God bless you as you seek to align with His will.

Any Thought? Do the family sit-coms that Chip refers to reflect society or does society reflect the family sit-coms from Father Knows Best to Murphy Brown (the single mom) to The Doofy Dad from the Simpsons?
