A little hidden mechanic with the ability upgrades is that the stronger of an ability Kirby has equipped, the more damage Bandana Waddle Dee does too.

After clearing bosses, that ARE NOT Whispy Woods for once, I want Koops and Enob to come back to Waddle Dee Town often. The weapons/copy ability shop is an awesome place to practice with new powers and upgrade current ones.

The replay is definitely heavy handed, personally I wouldn't mind but I can see how it's annoying.

The design of Volcano Fire’s attack is actually a reference to Kirby 64. Mixing Fire and Rock in that game (It’s focus was mixing and matching 2 abilities to create even more powerful and cooler new ones) gives Kirby the power to fire molten rocks out of the top of head like a volcano.

For the record, beat a stage and a secret mission you didn’t discover gets revealed. Pausing the game shows missions, too. Loving the series! I can hardly wait to see more!❤

Some things to note about Forgotten Land’s boss fights. First, every major boss has a point where once their heath drops to a certain point (usually half), the boss pulls out all the stops. (Gorimondo’s can be seen at 5:33). This is a main series trend that began with Return to Dream Land. (You also can’t inflict much damage during the transition period to avoid cheesing). Second, the missions for said boss fights always include beating it under a certain time and without taking damage (2P Mode makes the latter MUCH easier because as you probably already guessed, it’s specifically KIRBY who needs to avoid getting hit.)

Note: be sure to hit Y to view the stage selection. This will bring up challenges that you haven't found and have to search for their entrances. Simply press A on a suspicious patch of land to find either cash or a portal to a ability challenge.

The gacha capsules are random, but they tweeked the algorithm on them so that it more often favors giving you new ones and the chance of getting a new one increases for each repeat you get so it doesn't take too long to collect them.

Responding to the comment in this video about the difficulty for Treasure Roads being represented by stars, I don't think it matters considering that the stars are clearly labeled as difficulty indicators when you select the stage.

Whoooo, going to the (overgrown and returned to nature) mall is actually fun for once. I always hated shopping at the mall as a kid; nothing would fit me, all the staff would be up in my face, and the same tired soundtrack of popular music I hated would play, at blasting volume, in every store.

I wonder if the mall's slogan is, "You've never been alive until you drop on by the Alivel mall!" 😅

The game generally does reward exploring! But typically if the game is pointing you to go in a direction via a secret, it's because the rest lead to deadends or no reward, and not going back is part of the challenge. As you've seen, going back through these levels a second time doesnt take much time at all, when you are beelining straight for missed content. Like other modern kirby games, the gacha system is randomized alongside unique specific ones. I need to look uo if there's a way to tell them apart.

Yeah, Kirby games actually have more lore and backstory then you’d expect for this kind of genre. Especially the more recent titles. So do enjoy the world-building, it’s become part of the series’s identity.

Enob, remember you can press the minus (-) button on the gamepad to drop any ability-even Mouthful Mode-right away. (It might save you some time on the stages and Treasure Roads.)

Here's a clue to the hidden HAL room in this stage, just so you don't suffer too much. After all, since these areas aren't required for 100%, they had no problem making them VERY well-hidden. Get the best view at the end, and look far off in the distance, close to a place you explored before.
