I always wondered what Dokken would sound like with a second guitarist. Kinda like Ratt. Listening to George Lynch in this clip I can see why they never bothered to get a second guitarist. They don't need one. George is enough.

George Lynch is a monster on guitar. For some strange reason I never came around to listening to his work. Phenomenal player!

Here I am being nostalgic, back in the 80s when I was a teenager I used to ride my bike around town with my Sony Walkman with these albums cranked!! 2024 and Mr. Scary is still killing it at 70 years old!! 🤙🏾👊🏾👍🏾 Long live Dokken!!

WOW...... THIS IS SAD! WTF happened to Don? George did his job on this one.... but WTF Don Dokken?
@BH-gw9jz28 күн бұрын
Don Dokken had ZERO ENERGY!!! Maybe he should have chosen the WISE path like Mick Brown...... and just retired!!! I have MAD RESPECT for "Wild Mick".... he knew he was finally done! Don...... HOLY BALLS BROTHER!!!!!! Just go quietly into the night! STOP! My main man George ( Mr. Scary )..... he's still loving and performing his guitar craft like a KING!! Jeff is doing phenomenally well with his adventures with producing and playing in various projects ( Foreigner )...... he's such an amazing guy! I love these guys individually.... I love the fellowship of us fans throughout the years!!!

I gotta agree with all here who have said that George doesn't need to play 'all' the rythym parts exactly as he did on 1983's 'Breaking The Chains' album. Yeah, through the rigs he uses live, and the tone he achieves, huge, face-smashung, gut- belting Triad chords and the 'Dyad'-riffs he's known for 'interweaving' through about ALL of DOKKEN's catalog are 'The Experience' most folks want more of when going to a show he's playing, but since he gets a killer tone most all the time, if he 'derails' and starts improvising quite a bit, you're STILL seeing a Living Legend 'still' perform & play guitar as good as he ever did! And ya gotta take into account the fact that most players get 'tired' of playing it "Exactly Like The Recorded-Version", so, in order to get fresh ideas, they improvise. That's what 'I' do, and beleive me, IT WORKS. Now, 'every' idea that you come up with may not be 'really good' , let alone a 'great' idea. But how I've seen it happen, and experienced it is that, once ya get some of the 'junk/ debris' out of your mind, then the 'little or BIG golden nuggets and gems start "Showing up in the pan." Try it, you'll see why the Pros & Legends 'do it.'

At 70 George is wrapping up his touring career at the top of his game. A good final send off. Too bad more people aren't there.

George always has spiced up things live from the studio stuff true fans really dont mind it sounded like he mixed it from the album and of course not album wise which i dig

The only good singing Don did was the first two words of the beginning of the song "desperate living". The rest crashed and burned.

A great studio musician. phenomenal shredder, and always at the top of his game when surrounded by other great musicians. As far as improvising goes, I just feel he often leaves the context of the song and sometimes makes me wonder where he's going or how is he going to get back.

This is why nowadays you can t enjoy a live performance. See the dickhead ,with the bald spot in a blue shirt right in front of George ,being a shit stain , holding up his phone during the performance when he is right there to watch it, hey douche bag , calls for a punch in the head ,ruins the show and all he had to do was take a few photos instead acting like some queen supreme photographer on his camera phone . What a asswipe.
