Great podcast! I'm so glad you talked about Spielberg's ability to capture little moments (like the scene between Brody and his son at the table, or the guy complaining about someone parking in front of his store). And I'm so glad you played the clip of Hooper, Brody, and the Mayor arguing. The realism of Spielberg's conversations is always expertly achieved. Was surprised by the hate for Ellen Brody (Lorraine Gary)! I think she and Scheider are one of the most realistic married couples portrayed on screen. Anyway, another great product from the team. Looking forward to the next one!

Love this movie - great choice for a review! Hard to choose a best movie between Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, and Shawshank, but for me it’s definitely Shawshank. Gump,now, is just too hokey for me (and no disrespect to the amazing team of Hanks and Zemekis). Pulp Fiction has amazing dialogue, but I wouldn’t reach for it on a random day. Shawshank, however? I would watch it daily. Pacing, characters, visuals - it just is so gripping. Great debate, though! Thanks for the fun watch!
