One time I was driving and all of a sudden car won’t lower the gears I had to turn it off and unplug the battery to make it work again. Would it be the same problem with my car to change that part ?

Leaking o-ring in the GSA is a common issue that leads to the sensor going bad. At a minimum, do a visual check of the connector to the sensor to see if it is wet with SMT/brake fluid. If you want to go further, you can do a resistance test with a volt meter. You do not have to remove the sensor to do the test. New sensor is no longer available so the price of used ones have gone up to $250. Try to confirm the issue is with the sensor before spending $$. You can also ask your question with other SMT Spyder owners on the forum called Spyderchat.com. People on this form are more knowledgeable than a Toyota dealer.

What does stupid video everybody knows how to use it. You’re supposed to measure the battery voltage then you’re supposed to measure how much amp that thing is pushing into the battery see if it is bubbling after 10 hours that is totally useless.

I just received my EGO ST1620T today, but the front handle broke when I tightened the bolt. Customer service was already closed for the day, so I guess I'll see if they will send me a new handle or if I have to send the whole unit back to Amazon.

These tips will save people thousands. I bet if you go to a dealership, they would have replaced the entire GSA for couple of thousand dollars and reinstalled the old sensors because it is no longer available. Your car still wouldn’t move and you have no choice to pay for the GSA to get you car back.

Toyota dealers cannot buy new GSA units anymore. They will not rebuild the GSA either. Do not take a broken SMT spyder to the dealer!

Had bad driver side cv axle for almost 2 years now, drives fine up until 70mph, a year ago passenger side grease got out too, but now this drivers side really been humming and screaming to get fixed, just hate the idea of replacing it, but it must be done. About 35k miles since grease left that driver side axle lol

I just bought this charger to maintain the AGM battery in my 2013 Cadillac CTS-V. So far so good. It is not my daily driver so she only sees the road maybe two or three times a month.

you probably should "code" the AGM battery (switch from standard wet lead acid) so the alternator can charge it correctly, and you "register" a new battery.

use a 2.5Ah battery if you find it balances better with a lighter weight at the upper end. Use a shoulder strap. The key issue for me is whether LineIQ actually works. Some reports of it delaying feeding too long so you are stuck with a shorter than desirable string length with no manual override have me concerned this is one of those features that adds unnecessary complexity and underperforms.
@avlisk

I've used a different brand with "no bump" tech, and it was a dismal failure. I'd have to open the string area and manually pull the string out, close it up, and repeat every 5 minutes or so.

I edge all the time with my ego string trimmer and the guard is not in the way you just have to look at the string when you turn it on and study where the tip is when the unit is spinning! Once you get a good idea when the tip of the string is cutting you simply stick it in the ground and follow the edge all the way to your destination. It takes practice but the guard helps a lot because as you go through worn out string the unit replaces the string allowing for a sharper cut!! And always keep a spare ego guard and spare ego trimmer head because they do get worn out from hitting surfaces.

@@johnlevel30calhoun23 I'm old retired and everything I "knew ",or thought, I knew was batteries were weak inefficient and my gas powered would work as long as I would..lol But the young guy down the street mowes lawns and I never know he's mowing until I go out front. Lol..I finally think I'll start with the weeds. Lol. It looks promising.

@@tlee9484 facts lol all facts gas mowers are very loud you know when your neighbors are using them. With battery powered mowers you won’t hear them because they sound like box fans up close especially the ego lawn mowers. You can have a conversation mowing grass with ego lawn mowers and with gas mowers you can’t because they are loud. You can actually hear the grass being cut with battery powered mowers. Battery powered mowers have LED headlights as well so you can mow at night or early in the morning, you can’t do that with gas powered mowers.
