Hey other than the position sensors , do you know what can cause p0820 X Y circuit short ?? I flushed my SMT fluid. Any tips? Also did change my position sensor on the gear box! Thanks.

Thank you for your comments on the edging. I experienced the same issues with the Ego trimmer I just purchased from Lowes and I agree the trimmer guard blocks the view when edging. I also wish the trigger would let you run the trimmer slower this may help with less gouging when edging. I will be returning my Ego trimmer to Lowes and try something else. My old Ryobi had much less power but you could turn the trimmer on it's side and edge nice lines with it without gouging. The reason I bought the Ego was my battery died in the Ryobi and the Ego had very good reviews. I'm kind of surprised All the other videos I watched did not mention the issue with the edging. Your video was right to the point and I appreciate it.

How do you feel about the fuel injector cleaner? I have been considering using something like this. What would you suggest for turbos? Like cleaner wise. Great video.
@main10garage3 ай бұрын
If you consistently use top tier fuel (different than premium gas), it will have detergents to keep the fuel injectors clean. If not, it is good to use a quality fuel injector cleaner to remove deposits. A clean injector will atomize the fuel to fine droplets and burn as it should. When an injector has deposits, the fuel droplets will be larger and is more likely small amount of fuel will run past the piston rings and dilute the motor oil. Fuel in the motor oil can increase engine wear. As for cleaning your turbo, there are turbo cleaners, such as Wynn Turbo Cleaner. I have not used this product.

If you feel comfortable getting under the car, check to see if the position sensor is wet with SMT fluid. For a quick check, you do not have to remove the sensor, just visually see if the wire/plug to the sensor is wet. If it is wet, then your sensor is starting to get contaminated with SMT fluid. In the video, 4:47 mark shows you where the sensors are located. Another possibility is your SMT fluid level is low or dirty. To check this, you will have to remove the air box. I just posted a video on how to change the SMT fluid. You can also go to SpyderChat.com, a forum for MR2 Spyder owners. You can search or post your question. There are active members that are very familiar with SMT issues.

One time I was driving and all of a sudden car won’t lower the gears I had to turn it off and unplug the battery to make it work again. Would it be the same problem with my car to change that part ?
@main10garage5 ай бұрын
Leaking o-ring in the GSA is a common issue that leads to the sensor going bad. At a minimum, do a visual check of the connector to the sensor to see if it is wet with SMT/brake fluid. If you want to go further, you can do a resistance test with a volt meter. You do not have to remove the sensor to do the test. New sensor is no longer available so the price of used ones have gone up to $250. Try to confirm the issue is with the sensor before spending $$. You can also ask your question with other SMT Spyder owners on the forum called Spyderchat.com. People on this form are more knowledgeable than a Toyota dealer.

What does stupid video everybody knows how to use it. You’re supposed to measure the battery voltage then you’re supposed to measure how much amp that thing is pushing into the battery see if it is bubbling after 10 hours that is totally useless.

These tips will save people thousands. I bet if you go to a dealership, they would have replaced the entire GSA for couple of thousand dollars and reinstalled the old sensors because it is no longer available. Your car still wouldn’t move and you have no choice to pay for the GSA to get you car back.

Toyota dealers cannot buy new GSA units anymore. They will not rebuild the GSA either. Do not take a broken SMT spyder to the dealer!

I just bought this charger to maintain the AGM battery in my 2013 Cadillac CTS-V. So far so good. It is not my daily driver so she only sees the road maybe two or three times a month.
@embeddedusystems Жыл бұрын
you probably should "code" the AGM battery (switch from standard wet lead acid) so the alternator can charge it correctly, and you "register" a new battery.

Can I use the Ego IQ trimmer; model ST1623T with 7.5 Ah battery?
@kenroman77711 ай бұрын
Sure or 10 if you have the strength
@louisperich6678 Жыл бұрын
use a 2.5Ah battery if you find it balances better with a lighter weight at the upper end. Use a shoulder strap. The key issue for me is whether LineIQ actually works. Some reports of it delaying feeding too long so you are stuck with a shorter than desirable string length with no manual override have me concerned this is one of those features that adds unnecessary complexity and underperforms.
@avlisk Жыл бұрын
I've used a different brand with "no bump" tech, and it was a dismal failure. I'd have to open the string area and manually pull the string out, close it up, and repeat every 5 minutes or so.

I edge all the time with my ego string trimmer and the guard is not in the way you just have to look at the string when you turn it on and study where the tip is when the unit is spinning! Once you get a good idea when the tip of the string is cutting you simply stick it in the ground and follow the edge all the way to your destination. It takes practice but the guard helps a lot because as you go through worn out string the unit replaces the string allowing for a sharper cut!! And always keep a spare ego guard and spare ego trimmer head because they do get worn out from hitting surfaces.

@@tlee9484 facts lol all facts gas mowers are very loud you know when your neighbors are using them. With battery powered mowers you won’t hear them because they sound like box fans up close especially the ego lawn mowers. You can have a conversation mowing grass with ego lawn mowers and with gas mowers you can’t because they are loud. You can actually hear the grass being cut with battery powered mowers. Battery powered mowers have LED headlights as well so you can mow at night or early in the morning, you can’t do that with gas powered mowers.
