the best video i've seen on this topic. I was really struggling with this topic until this. Thank you!

Actually, you can't always say that Km represents the affinity of an enzyme to its substrate because that happens only under certain situations!

What a wonderful video! If only physics educators used visualizations like this more - the only channel that comes close is Eugene Khutoryansky

The VFX that this video has together with its accurate information makes it really hard to believe that this video only has 14,000 views. A real gem amidst the countless videos of KZbin.

Wow great video. Wasn’t looking for a complicated video and this was great. Though I was told by my professor that Km is not always a good measure for substrate affinity

This is a really great video, except that it propagates the misconception that KM is a binding constant. The derivation of the Michaelis-Menten equation makes it very clear the there can be chemical reaction constants in the KM value as well and binding and dissociation constants. Because of this error I am unable to use this video in my teaching.

If you have been having difficulty understanding the concept of Michaelis-Menten Constant, or competitive/non-competitive inhibitors, this video is the ONE you should watch. It is very well done.
