Weihnachtstag!

Kurzes Update: ich lag falsch! Die Ähnlichkeit zu Claude Dawson bleibt eine Ähnlichkeit. Alexander Manz (v), ist zu sehen. Der eigentliche Schlagzeuger ist nach meiner Kenntnis Leo Schultze. Ich entschuldige!

Mickey Diamond is the sole trumpet player. No additional trumpet in this side, given that Byron Hooper returned to the USA before Hyde made this & other sides during April of 1925. This can be found on Rainer E. Lotz's article about Alex Hyde's Grammophon sides for the Storyville magazine (available at the National Jazz Library from the UK) and Johnson-Shirley's American Dance Bands On Record & Film.

I forget whether Fletcher Henderson's recording of this tune was done in 1937 or '38. Notice the section work, at one point, that is done by a trio of clarinets. That was something of a staple in late 1920's - early 30s big band jazz
