Hello! Should I keep braiding the younger stems of my lucky bamboo? If yes, how? I saw only videos of shaping/designing cut stems not potted plant. Thank you!

I've never attempted to braid it, but I think you can while the stem is soft.

Hi. I am trying to grow two of these as trees that I got this spring and planted in large pots. Last week with temperatures in the 90's in Atlanta, one of them started getting brown leaves and dropped 2/3 of its leaves (green and brown). Only the top leaves are remaining and they have brown edges. The one that is apparently dying gets direct sun from 12-4 while the one that is doing fine so far only gets direct sun from 2:30-5:30. I use a moisture meter and I didn't let the get completely dry, but I didn't want to overwater either. I have been fertilizing it, and I added an acidifier to the potting mix. Maybe it's different for plants in pots, but I did try mulching a third one that already completely died. Planting it in the ground isn't an option. Any advice? Thanks.
@FoodArtTravel3 ай бұрын
It sounds like the plant is not used to high temperatures. I will recommend moving it in an area that gets sun in the morning or a few hrs late afternoon. It should come back fine once it gets used to its new location.

I am having problems too. Not with the leaves turning yellow, but brown, and then losing almost all of its leaves. I have seen online that yellow leaves are from overwatering.
@FoodArtTravel3 ай бұрын
Yellowing means the plant was overwatered. You will have to let the soil completely dry out before watering it fully.

It might survive in the water if you keep the water clean. The roots are susceptible to root rot.

Please make sure to use a good loose soil mix that will not keep too much water. I do not have a particular brand to recommend. I used to just be able to use Miracle-Gro indoor potting soil but after Covid the quality of the potting soil has deteriorated.

If it's in rocks, how can you check the soil to see if it needs watered?
@FoodArtTravel7 ай бұрын
You'll be able to tell if the water has evaporated or if you need to add water by looking at the water level in the pot.

First time to see this. The time 4pm on Sunday, February 25.My Majestic Palm will be 1year old this summer. I live in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦. No one told me how to grow it or take care of it. Kept it outside all summer and took it in the house in the fall as soon as temperature was getting too cool. About October I noticed the leaves turning brown so I cut the branches at the trunk and hoped for the best. Now the tips are brown and I see on your video what and how to take care of that. How often should I water the plam in the house until summer? What should be the temperature outside before I can put it out and leave it out? Sorry this is so long, like I mentioned I have no one to help me. Thank you in advance for your time and great video. 👍
@FoodArtTravel7 ай бұрын
I water my palm once every two weeks during the fall and winter and then bring it outside when the temperature is at least consistently 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The leaves turns brown due to lack of humidity, so try to place it indoors near a humid area or near other plants.

I dump the old water by slowly tilting the pot in the sink.

just purchased a Money Tree plant in a 10 inch pot with drainage. I poured one litre of Water and a little came out of the drainage holes. But my moisture meter indicated the earth as dry. Does this mean i didnt pour enough water?
@FoodArtTravel Жыл бұрын
The moisture meter might be sensing a certain dry spot. I would test a different spot if the result would be the same. If still dry, then I would pour more water.
@jeffreykaufmann2867 Жыл бұрын
I saw someone on KZbin cut the roots to shorten them
@FoodArtTravel Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why they would that. The only reason I would cut some roots is if they are rotted or rotting. Plants need its roots to grow.

How do you know if a peace lily has outgrown its Pot?
@FoodArtTravel Жыл бұрын
To me, the sign is if it keeps on yellowing or does not show new growth even if you are giving the same exact care or water you've been giving the plant before. Every 2 years is good, at least from my experience.
