The keyboard connectors changed to a mylar ribbon style on later models. There were a few 3rd party keyboards, HJL-57 was one, good luck finding one now. Same with the Mark Data SuperPro. Rare items these days. There are a few recent drop ins, but are pretty pricey. Video - CoCoDV adds HDMI output Go full 64k. That opens up the entire CoCo library. Sailor Man, Donkey King and many more. The CoCo line had very few officially licensed games, but has a deep catalog of copycats.

What drive belt do I need to buy for a Philips CDi 205? Loosening it worked it runs music and burned games, but I could only do a little loosening because the torx screw I have is too fat to get the drive out for better access.

Brother, I have the same Walkman WM-F73, tell me you can take a look at mine and see if you can fix, it's a childhood relic that I've carried everywhere, even broken or inoperable I should say. Can I send you mine?
@TechGuyLife11 күн бұрын
I wish I could,I'm just not setup to do viewer repairs. If the channels keeps growing maybe in the future I can setup a PO Box for that sort of thing.
@Titanykus11 күн бұрын
@TechGuyLife oh man, that is a bummer, I hope your channel grows then, thanks for the reply.

Good Morning Can I know the DATA CODE of your PSP,please? I don’t know if it’s work on my PSP My it’s 9D MODEL 3000 Thank you

Thank you for uploading this video. I've had my N64 from new, and as I was a 'grown up' when I bought it, I've looked after it. However my son has now started to play it, and all of a sudden it doesn't power on. You've given me so many useful things to check. First I need to buy a multimeter. I'll update you once I've got that and had a look at it. Thanks again. 👍🏻

The easiest thing is that the jumper pack(or ram expansion, which ever you have), take it out and put it back in a few times. I hope you find the source of the problem.

Nicely done! Walkmans are adorable and well worth fixing. Maybe one day I will get around to fixing mine. That sports/autoreverse model was quite premium back then. I use the magnet strip off an old fridge door to find small (metal) parts on the floor.
@TechGuyLife18 күн бұрын
that's a great suggestion for finding metal things on the floor, unfortunately the part that flew away was plastic. Its holding right now, so its ok. I was looking at maybe using a rubber o ring for a watch to hold it on. I have to find my calipers to measure the size of the pin

Amazing when you take those apart and look at the engineering of tape decks that they sold for what they did.

Now that you've done the RGB mod you should try the RAD-2X HDMI upscaler. I have it for my other systems and love it.
@DrSchnaggelzАй бұрын
Good work, but the universal cartridge slot doesn't make the system region free. The only real region free mod is called "UltraPIF".

RGB does separate the colors, the green wire, however is a chroma mix, not green color. Green is not a primary color either. Scart was only really used for the Canadian and European markets, and the RGB standard. In the US we used “component,” which was a different configuration. Thanks for the video though.

I have only opened and repaired an N64 once. Why ... did Nintendo use soooo many screws .. ?? Good video. Thank you
@HaxAras2 ай бұрын
Cool video, I got a Japanese N64, where the seller hacked off the plastic. Kinda unfortunate, as I would have rather they kept it intact so it could *theoretically* be reverted, even though I know I never would. The case is cracked and broken as well, which is fine, as I wanted to re-shell it with transparent purple or green, and buy one of those 3D printed cart slots anyway. I lack the skills or tools, etc. to do an HDMI mod, unfortunately. Maybe someday down the line, I love the idea of modifying, and personalizing my consoles to make them my "own". Even though there's really not much I can actually do.

For 6 switch models and jr. You can composite , and even S-Video mod them without removing parts and keep the RF modulator functional. They have 4050 CI so you have to add only resistors and caps . The 4 switch models do not have it , so to keep the modulator and not removing any parts, you can add this IC and nod then .
@TechGuyLife2 ай бұрын
That's sounds cool, I would love to get s-video. Do you have any links for further information?

great vid! nice to see one of these were the tech actually knows not to mess with the heatsink thermal paste. i would have pulled the drive pully off for the dvd tray and greased the spindle though. i have seen some of those break off. they are just a plastic piece but expierence friction because of the drive belt holding tension on the pully. they need lubrication.

It might be just a little stuck. I don't know if this will make sense but try putting your thumbs on the middle spindle, and while holding down and slightly pushing down the spindle with your thumbs pull up with your fingers in the holes in the platter. Hopefully it'll pop off

Found this today...need to fix an NES i picked up. If it isn't the 72 pin connector now I know what else it might be. Instead of an eraser, can I use a magic eraser on the board connector?
@TechGuyLife4 ай бұрын
you can, its just a lot more abrasive and could do some damage if you aren't careful. I would stick to the eraser if you can, safe and easy !
