Is there a reason u put NO seasoning on any of that?? Great fishing action as always.🤙🏽🎣
@1836FishingOutdoors2 күн бұрын
Reason was on the peppers and onion I used salted butter, and that Asiago/Romano cheese in the panko is really salty, so there was salt, just already in other ingredients. Thanks man!! 🎣

Nice drum. Btw, your setup would perform much better with the right rod. You have a spinning rod with a baitcaster

@@hotrod_kris9395 Spinning rods have larger guides, and sit underneath the rod blank. Conventional rods have smaller guides and side on top of the rod blank.

Bro, im not far from you at all. Plan on hitting Pleasure Island friday night under some lights. A couple observations, if i may. Your use of so much rice wine vinegar made your Trout into a civeche, of sorts. If you'll get a bamboo mat, your rolls will turn out so much better. I was blessed to be married to a half Japanese lady for many years. Such a blessing in my life. She loved to fish. ❤
@1836FishingOutdoors29 күн бұрын
Yes, it was like a take on ceviche, but with a Korean twist. Still "raw", but not "raw". A bamboo mat would have been better, but I need to get one! Thanks for watching!
@Dawson18429 күн бұрын
That line on your check it stick marks 1 inch. It is not the starting point for measuring. The check it stick is designed to measure by butting the closed mouth of the fish against the 90 degree angle part of the stick. You are adding an inch to each measurement by measuring the way you are in this video. If that 2nd fish measured out at 15.5 then it was really 14.5 and an illegal fish.
@1836FishingOutdoors29 күн бұрын
Nope, the check it stick adds 2 inches at minimum to the overall length. I measured twice and made sure. The scribe is 1.125" to the left of the 2" mark, making it well within state regulations.
@Dawson18429 күн бұрын
@@1836FishingOutdoors the check it stick does not add any length to the measurement when used correctly. Its the most accurate way of measuring and even the measuring device game wardens use when they check your fish which they do by butting the closed mouth of the fish against the 90 degree angle.
@1836FishingOutdoors29 күн бұрын
@@Dawson184 If you used it "as indended" on a 28.5" redfish and you didn't have a tag, and got checked you'd get a fine.

wonder why only the small ones can be found by the jetties and ship channel but the bigger ones are in offshore?
@1836FishingOutdoorsАй бұрын
Couldn't really say as to why, but snapper species in general seem to live their adult lives out in deeper water (gulf or atlantic). During the winter, when the water temperatures drop it's possible to catch larger snapper closer (6-8 mile rigs).
