Great song! If only more people followed Loris principles the World would be a much better place. Instead, it's a shambles I'm afraid to say. Too much greed, too many drugs, too much violence and machismo. Not enough love. Lori you are a shining light keep it up!! ❤❤

Lovely. I Remember Lori at the back of the class room on the last day of the 8th grade. First time we both realized our love of music that we shared. This is true if she is who I think she is. We called her Frances that year. I thought she was beautiful. We passed kind and humbled friendship that day in a place once called Fox Valley. Tim, God brought me to him a few years later. I hope Lori and Frances are in fact one and the same. Helps my faith in God, humanity, and myself if she is. Either way, I hope Frances Lori is doing well, wherever she is. I hope I helped her life in a good way. Mama and Daddy taught me to be Humble and Kind and God agrees with her. With love, dear one. And a smile.

Lori is brilliant. Oh, she shined at Merlefest. She was probably the best I ever heard at the CABIN stage. Great writer, performer, musician.

Tim McGraw's version is not better--but the video that goes with his is really good too. I don't know who was responsible, but it covered a lot of ground, kept it personal and international at the same time, the words of course so simple and good.

I don’t why I have never heard of Lori McKenna before. But today, I watched an interview that Ashley McBryde did in Scotland and she mentioned her as one of her influences. Now, I see why. This song brought to tears and that’s usually one of many indicators of a good country song. So thank you Ashley for turning me on to some fantastic country music throughout your interview.

Oh, my goodness, what a lovely and true song. It should be sung right next to John Prine's "Hello, in There, Hello." Sets me to crying for sure.
