"The Talk" used to be a conversation about the birds and the bees. Now it's a conversation to keep our kids alive. It's really sad.

Great show! Happy to help with the purge! 😁😈 As for what Richard Hutton said, I don't actually blame millennials or Gen Z for anything I blame the boomers and my Gen X compatriots, we're the problem. The younger generation wants to work, but the older generation doesn't want to adapt to the way things are now, they want things to be as they've always been because that's how they get to live a good life by their standards. At the end of the day, we're all susceptible to be purged at any given day, the world changes around us, and we are responsible for changing with it or getting left behind. The purge can just be a self-purge by refusing to adapt, you find yourself staring at the backside of the future as it passes you by. Cheers to #AVJam -- great show!

Great show! Love what HETMA is doing to increase diversity. Iffat, awesome host as always. Erin, Adam, and Matt, solid insight regarding initiatives and roadblocks. Keep up the good fight. You can't control people, but your positive influence and lead by example will get and keep people/orgs moving in the right direction.

Great talk again Iffat, I liked when Bas said "what about me, I'm a working father" - it hurts both sides of the arguments, because oftentimes the man is not seen as a caregiver when they are or the one for love which they can be, so they're not allowed to take off from work for the family moments, or events. Thankfully things are changing, but still long ways to go. Congrats on the great panel! I especially enjoy that its not really about AV, it's about the people working, they just happen to be in the AV industry! Cheers to you!

Thank you Gabe, I agree! Assumptions made in any work place are a lot harder to deal with than actually asking the person directly! It's all part of the journey!

Interesting feedback, the P series are not a one size fits all but each designed for specific user persona, i use a P15 with Dual 27" and i tell people as you did, if you want a bigger screen get a 32" Samsung or LG stick a P5 or 15 on top and a sync or headset too. The Beauty of the P21 is that 1 USB connection not 1 USB for the camera 1 HDMI for the screen, 1 USB for the speaker phone and then being able to mute and unmute from the buttons with a visual light without finding your mouse pointer and the teams or zoom app. This is my high-level recommendation on the p series choice. P5 - level up from your inbuilt laptop camera adds 1080p stick your Bluetooth in the back great low light handling and can be detach as a document camera etc good for all P15 - for those that have a dedicated home office space maybe large and or dual displays and can use the speakers etc and want the best quality 4k video with framing maybe you also create videos and webinars youtube videos 😁 P21 - Great for non technical employees that have a small laptop and want a slick looking second screen camera and audio in a kitchen or bedroom they can plug in with one cable when home working , its also great for putting in video pods or booths in offices again for users to easily connect to for calls and of course all these assets can be managed and tracked centrally through Lense
@JPWard3 жыл бұрын
Neil, I don’t see how the P21 can go in a pod if you need to install drivers? Unless, you make the software standard build & that means a business change & I just don’t see that happening. & the lights? 🤣😂

Having gone through it - this is not an exclusionary process, it is an inclusionary one. It's about going through the process to ensure that you can meet the quality that the platforms are looking for.

This bugs me to no end and sadly I think it is just us that care. My wife and I sit and watch news broadcasts together and she knows when I've stopped listening and started stewing over the crappy audio and video. Definitely a resi opportunity there to outfit someone's home office with the proper gear to join these broadcasts from their house.
