Jesus ..... he either waffles on about inane shit for what seems like hours or bashes out one statement and rolls on without justifying any of it - WTF? For example in his over video from 2 years ago he says - oh yea - Cell OVPR(V) 3.600 is fine its the factory default - NOW he says change it to 3.400 and zooms on without any statement. Shmuck !!

I feel like Jimny Cricket sitting on your shoulder. Loved the real vid. Appreciated. This is what YT was about. Just done that job after a mini-cyclone and it hasn’t leaked. I wish I had watched earlier though, you did it far better than I did.

I have GC2 deep cycle Extreme interstate batteries ( GC2-ECL-UTL 115 mins @ 75 Amps 225 Ah @ 20 Hr ) that were already in my van and hooked up to my batteries and then I have a 3000w inverter. I cannot find any information on this type of hook ups. I think the batteries have water in them and they’re very heavy! I have two of them! If you have any idea what these are and if they’re okay for my set up I will greatly appreciate any advice…. Thanks so very much!

connect bms to battery cells, dont connect black cable to inverter, apply voltage about 8-10 v to black and blue cables and it will start, then connect to inverter

Hi, many thanks for such a clear and detailed presentation. I have tried the settings on my ORION XS installed on a Land Cruiser HZJ78 (2002) but I cannot have any charge though the input voltage is 14.3 as indicated by the ORION and mesured at 14,4. The output stays desperatly at 0A. I have checked all the settings again and again but without any result. Would have a idea of what is going wrong ? Many thanks. Philippe.

What do you do when you have 4 cells, but all 9 leads? This is where I am confused. We have 16cells, but have a 12V system. So we have a 4p4s setup right now... I'm now wondering if we should have done 4s4p instead...

I've had the Orion hookeup up and working fine for about two years but all of a sudden it seems to have malfuctioned and drained my vehicle battery while the vehicle was off for the night. Has anyone heard of this happening? Why would this start happening to my system after two years of running my setup with no problems?

the low charge current right after you start the truck is the glow plugs on the engine being turned on. after a minute or so the battery can be charged faster because the glow plugs turn off. Diesel engines are cool.

So if I'm hearing you correctly... If you are using this in a boat/camper situation you would only have hot water when your SOC is above 90%.. So no hot water on cloudy days?

Can one use a second battery and the dc to dc changer to change a battery or does it need to be coming from an alternator? I have a second 120ah battery, want to charge my other 100ah with the 120ah one

I have one from yourselves but I have gel batteries still, are the settings the same, I’ve noticed that I have the input and out the same at 40A but when it’s running it only outputs around 27a on a reg alternator…?

Very Helpful... I have some setting checks to make sure... I also have a Victron IP65 15 amp charger and it seems to have stopped working properly. It never goes through the charge cycles etc. I have contacted the distributor and think it may be faulty. I matters not if I use it on lead acid or LiFePO4 batteries and relative settings... it will switch between bulk and absorb even when the battery is maybe at 70% ... and max am charge of .8V ... I have tried to remove the Vic Connect app and bluetooth forget and so on ... no differences.

Interesting about not connecting the XS to the network. I have the XS, bought from yourselves 👍, and an original Orion running together. All the same settings as you quoted in this video. But I do find the original Orion goes into Float too early. I'll try taking the XS of the network..... or just order another XS 😉

Only use a DC/DC charger on a secondary alternator. The charger and, the alternator are incompatible, that BMS will do bad things. Don't believe the snake oil sellers.

what's and electric box that you said you might blow in the older vehicle? the new lifepo batteries have overcharge protection and temperature protection... from this video it doesn't seem like you need to a DC to DC converter when hooked on top of an AGM in parallel like shown in the video (not as a full replacement/drop in like you said)... i think the riks that people talk about is the lifepo drawing too much amp through the alternator and overloading it... not so much overloading the battery, but I don't know... I think that if I just ran a thick positive wire with a fuse to a grounded lifepo inside the vehicle and manually hooked it up to the running or idling vehicle when it needs charged I would be fine, i could hook this positive/red wire to a switch and turn it on when the devices battery (lifepo inside the vehicle) needed charged and turn it off otherwise... it wouldn't be a problem to drain the huge lifepo back into the AGM starter battery because it's so huge in comparison... again I don't see the need for a DC to DC for something simple like this... I have a 150A non-smart alternator...

Nicely Done Video! One of the thing most of the video's don't show is setting when you have a 24v setup or in my case one (1) Dakota Lithium 36v 63amh battery for my trolling motor. Many video's are using just one (1) 12v setup. It just would be helpful to have that other battery configurations touched on for newbies trying to figure the correct settings. Thanks for your very detailed video!

I've had mine 2 years after the first two months of absolute sham of the company I was going to give up on it..the two so called technical dept do not exist..they are a company that sells Belief Heaters..they DO NOT produce their own heaters and have no technical skills what's so ever..it's a scam company in many ways...they have very little customer support and if you have issues good luck with them..I wouldn't buy another one if you paid me.. Wait until you have issues with the fans. 😢 I fitted mine under the bench seat under their say so ..bad news!! 😒 And so many complaints for being so loud at night on camping sites it's unbelievable. Wish I'd bought an lpg truma instead.
