So I’m just binge watching the first series on iPlayer and for some reason I misremembered this scene in the episode & have been thinking it was a Mitchell and Webb sketch for the better half of a year 🙃

I felt, maybe even is not like I say. But I feel as how Robert Smith was so in love and so totally catched by Siouxsie. After 1983 he was so tired an he often didn’t sleep to think and to write songs for her and Banshees. How I can feel that Top wasn’t a great album and he gets new light with The Head on the Door. It seems like a fantastic romantic novel from the XIX century. So far, so evanescent… 🖤 You may love Mary, but also goes with mind and heart to Siouxsie…

I may end being shot down for this but I don't think she ever looked more stunning than she did on this show. Probably not until Kiss Them For Me in the 1990s. Thing is she wasn't happy being seen in thst way, the stage act was what you're meant to see, not a sex symbol....

Love this piece of art; fabulous song, singer, instrumentalists. I love how Siouxsie dresses. This outfit is so cool, feminine, pretty, etc. just love how she dresses in this performance. Her voice is beautiful as always and I love her black crimped hair which I used to emulate 40 some years ago! Can’t believe it was the that long ago. Wish I could go back to the 1980s, 1990s. I am grateful for these videos. Ah, memories…..

I dont think a distortion pedal was necessarily involved. However , you can expect that there was a whole lot of inadvertent saturation, overdrive and distortion happening in the sound simply because they were playing this thing as loud as possible through whatever old probably tube guitar/bass amps they could afford, which would be clipping like crazy as this thing probably puts out a way hotter signal than a guitar . There was no such thing as "clean" at those volumes in those days. The amps, the speakers, and the sound of the mics/room were also a key part of the sound

Really enjoyed this. I grew up in 90s UK and watched loads of tv shows and films like this, but somehow completely missed this one! Glad I stumbled across it here. I remember the series Chiller on ITV was similar.

This along with Massage were imo the strongest episodes, I remember having mixed feelings about Three Miles Up and I’ll be Watching You though both were very watchable I guess no one knows where to locate The Shadowy Third and Blood and Water ???
