The best time I have had something like that was when a customer argued about wanting someone else's private information. I tried quoting the privacy laws that applied, but the kept on coming back and trying to talk over me. They then said they were a lawyer and new the privacy laws better than I did. So I gave them a phone number and said they will help you further. The number was to the government organisation responsible for writing the privacy laws. Needless to say the guy was pissed off, but it wasn't my problem.

@@LyraMitsukiiOfficial Oh yeah, I worked for a government department for welfare assistance. The long story short is that he went and guaranteed that a person from another country would not need the welfare system for a minimum of 10 years. Turns out she escaped a domestic violence relationship, and he was the 'alleged' perpetrator. She claimed welfare assistance and rightfully got it, so he was on the hook for something around $40,000 that he owed the federal government. He wanted her address to go sort it out with her, on how she will repay the debt he incurred. Needless to say I called the woman and warned her that he was asking for information about her. Made sure she knew that nothing had been given out, as per the privacy laws we maintain. And got her a social worker to help with any stress that situation has caused. Even if it was nothing related to domestic violence, I would still give out nothing. The guy tried ringing about her account again, and the lock on the file made it go to our fraud team. So he got an even more scary team to try his BS with. Hope he has fun when he goes to claim any government payments, or does his taxes as that team will go through it with a fine tooth comb.
