Thanks for uploading these resources, I love how the soil formation process is considered within the wider landscape. I wish I could teleport you guys in my area, and spend days looking at soil pits

I enjoyed your video. How certain are you that things are going to "warm up" and that will evaporate the lakes? According to NOAA, "A seven-day forecast can accurately predict the weather about 80 percent of the time and a five-day forecast can accurately predict the weather approximately 90 percent of the time. However, a 10-day-or longer-forecast is only right about half the time." Considering NOAA's statement, Science may as well flip a coin to determine what will happen temperature wise after 10 days. As you consider temperatures in the distant future variables that can effect the weather increase exponentially. Obviously science becomes far more speculative and unreliable as uncontrolled variables increase. Why do you believe things will "warm up" and how are you predicting the weather changes with so many variables?

Been researching The Clyde' rerouting around Lanark 15,000 years ago when ice gave way forming the rivers steep gorge & waterfalls. Plenty Kames, Eskers & Kettles formed locally on my home river. Would love to know it's original geographical route if that's even possible.

The soil on the left side with the AH, I have something very similar in a forest area near a pond in south east Florida. I have taken a lot of it and I am using it as soil in my garden beds and also using it as potting soil. Does anyone have experience with this? Should I be doing this or is it hurting my garden more than helping?

I’m creating an authentic (museum level quality) model logging railroad and the appearance of the forest floor is an important part of my work. Understanding the components both physically and visually are in order. Thanks for this very timely and important posting.

why do you consider 20 cm as a depth of hole sample? is it the minimum or the suggested ? based on soil texture when the soil is very stoney arriving to 20cm is so hard , would it be enough 7-10 cm for the excavation method ?
