Thank you. Yes I am quite happy. I was not sure how to make hands and hair before I started. If you watched full video, I mentioned I finished all orange wool. If doing it again, I would use lighter shade on stripes and save skin color for corrections. I wish the smile was wider.

It's so interesting and mindboggling with all the work and preciseness you put into it. It's made with love and Absolutely Fantastic! I hope this project brings you requests for more larger projects like my urn. It surely takes care of some of the issues families have to face when a loved one passes. I am sure there are many people that would like to have their cremains housed in a favorite place of theirs. So Cool! I love model making, and you did a great job with the model and the video! If you used a resin printer, do you think you would have to sand as much?
@themodelmaker
@themodelmaker Ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes if printed with resin, sanding would only be required to create the wood texture so really fast. The printers on the market get bigger and cheaper so I could have one which would be able to print sharp model of this size but for now I only have limited space in my room and Anycubic Mono X is the one I own. Its bed size would be too small for floor section and I did not want to split it to too many pieces for durability reasons. This tunelled my vision and drive decision to use fdm technology. When I look at it now, I could fit parts of the roofs on mono x only and save so much time! But when doing it for the first time, you need to do some mistakes 😉 I also discovered polymaker terra PLA since then which sands so easily I will be using it in next projects and test it. Each project is like a course for me.

Yes I used this trick few times on my droids and always wanted to create small 3d printed attachment. Thats why I bought this small saw, as a durable holder, but it was faster just stick paper with tape. I rarely build larger things. My models usually require sanding with little files as you know.
