The best Lenny Henry joke was in an episode of Extras where Keith Chegwin is saying there’s no funny black comedians and Ricky Gervais tells him there’s loads of them like Dave Chapelle and Chris Rock. Then Keith says “What about British ones then?”, and Ricky takes a moment to think, then spots a photo of Lenny Henry on the wall and says “Ummm…” 🤔

Unbelievable that you wrote this. Just showed this to a house full of a guests and everyone was speechless - the majority did not believe at all that you wrote this. They’ve been convinced and are in awe. Super talent and passion and so much energy and feeling. I felt there were waves throughout the piece. The gradual crescendo was perfect.
