Just did that trail for the first time last week when we were out there it was one of our favorite trails for sure! When we reached the second alpine lake at the end of the trail it was so cold at the top it was sleeting!

Running Black Bear Pass this direction gives great perspective to the incline of the vehicle, the steepness of the mountain and the vastness of the valley. Good stuff! It's the first video I've seen that even remotely does this trail justice.

I've commented before how I don't typically like channels that just drive and film, but you're the exception. I literally throw that on my big screen and bask in the glory of those majestic mountains. Part of it is for 27 years I was a motorcyclist and I took my 2nd to last big trip of my motorcycle life on my BMW 1200GSA up that way and around the Alpine loop in 2019 and was so amazed I couldn't wait to go back in my jeep. Thus far I haven't made that trip (from Georgia) due to various other life challenges that seem to come up from time to time. We're currently planning next year about the same time (August) but we'll see what happens next year. 😁
