Whenever I play red's story I always equip him with the phatasm sword, which has a built in counter attack because it is fitting that he's out for vengeance for his father.

It's for the reason the other commenter said, the original ":vanished" in a black hole. As far as hardcore sci fi backgrounds go I rate it pretty highly (the mecha, and the series it spawned).

I love Red’s story. Not only was it a good beginners character, but also always fun going back and figuring out what other special abilities he goes Alkaiser. The supporting cast was good, the action moved at a good pace, and it made you feel as if you were playing a superhero game. Would have been awesome if they went outside of Saga and focus on Alkaiser, but after over 20 years, we probably won’t see it. Oh well. At least this was good example of what many top RPGs today lack, memorable characters.

I had to grind every day for a month 20 mins a day (as that's all I could bare) in the final EGG area to defeat it along with hoping for epic 4 way combos! It was supremely hard, but rewarding! As was the The Battle of South Moundtop. I look foreward to the SF2 remake coming out soon! Amazing music and watercolor art! :D

Yeah the EGG was the hardest fight in RPGS as far as i can remember - because you have to prepare all of your last chapter characters through the last parts of the game..if you dont youre kinda screwed....and most people didn have internet nor youtube guides to help them....wich made it even more fun....i failed on my first playthrough and beat it on the second one (me being a 14 years old at that time) this game was so much better than the first one imo and prob one of the best rpgs of all time (also imo)

小1の時にこのゲームがきっかけで始めてbeyond the timeを知った！戦闘シーンの時間でサビ聴く機会が少なかったなあ。何も知らずに小4で逆シャア観た時は結末に衝撃受けつつ、初めて原曲聴いて泣いた記憶がある😢
