That gelfling blood is scary looking it creeped me out when all maldra died on it

I guess they couldn't make it red (iron-based) blood. Having that much gore would make the series not so "child-friendly." Then again, there are many scenes of violence in this series.

I just noticed that gelfling blood is magenta/violet/pink rather than red. This means their blood uses haemerythrin rather than hemoglobin. It looks more like Klingon blood! Instead of dioxygen, it functions as a hydroperoxide binding. Skeksis have red blood (hemoglobin), and Mystics have green blood (chlorocruorin). Interesting. Blood banks on Thra would be colorful indeed.
