Not too keen on the restricted search SharePoint feature either! For sites with highly sensitive content, I would recommend going into site settings and excluding it from being indexed.

11:57 I have been looking forward to hearing from Liz about Amplify. Can you share more about measuring the intentional action after an item is opened? I believe this relates to setting campaign objectives. Can you measure if a link in the message is clicked? If there is more than one link, can you measure which link was clicked?

Nice work team. Really interesting conversation about lists, forms and Power apps. I don’t spend a lot of time in these products, so I felt like I got a good overview of what to use when.

Thanks, great podCast! May have to start binge watching them, lots to learn! I used **Forms in Teams** for a virtual workshop I was facilitating with a working group to create Customer Profiles (right side of the Value Proposition Canvas). Prepared 3 simple forms (Customer Jobs, Customer Pains, Customer Gains (with different color theme)) to help the participants feed us info. We collected information during the workshop, and got additional inputs shortly after the workshop finished. The response from our group was positive and it made it fun, live and interactive as we were able to react and engage with the group as they were feeding us info and provide additional guidance when applicable to gather more info. They were the more basic forms, the drop down were pre-filled with the values of the customer types we were targeting (short list). The Forms also contained a bit of guidance per topic to educate/guide the participants. Customer **Jobs** [This form is used to capture various jobs in the journey of a user. Jobs describe what customers are trying to get done in their work in their own words] Customer (Drop down) Summary (short) Details (long) Customer **Pains** [This form is used to capture various pains in the journey of a specific type of user. Pains describe bad outcome, risks, and obstacles related to customer jobs] Customer (Drop down) Summary (short) Details (long) Customer **Gains** [This form is used to capture various gains in the journey of a user Gains describer the outcomes customers want to achieve or the concrete benefits they are seeking] Customer (Drop down) Summary (short) Details (long)

Hi, Thank for the video. Learned a lot. You mentioned you were able to migrate 3-4Tb with 14-15 jobs. Few questions around that. 1. When you say job are you talking about Migration manager/third party tool instance? 2. How to monitor those many jobs? Say for example if I run a ShareGate instance for 15 in 15 servers it might be difficult to monitor. 3. Did you use different accounts in each instance to connect between source and destination? Thanks! Ravi

Hi, 1. For large scale migrations like this, I use 3rd party tools 2. I manually monitor and check all 15 servers; I use spreadsheet to record the servers that I need to revisit to re-run some migrations. 3. Yes, you have to so you can minimize the throttling as well

Great Q&A. A similar question is have you ever declared Inbox Bankruptcy. In other words when you have come back from a vacation (usually a long one) have you either deleted ALL or marked ALL your inbox mail as Read. This way you start from scratch. BTW I am a team Sarah. My inbox is usually less than 10 emails and occassianly achieve Inbox Zero.

That document is super helpful! Do you have a link to the blog post where it is published? For the listener's question, I like to use the "+ Add cloud storage" function within the Files tab of a Teams channel to provide easy access to documents saved in a different document library.

Better integration between Outlook and Planner! Because of that limit I am NOT using planner. As said, "Those are hours I will not get back..."
@briansmithphotos
@briansmithphotos 3 жыл бұрын
The limits mentioned are very outdated - shame these still get quoted in this video and also your blog post. I'd agree sometimes you hit practical limits, but the functional limits are rarely hit when using Planner as designed. One limit that may get hit is the number of tasks created by a single person - but this is in the tens of thousands - and generally only gets hit when using automation to create tasks. Copy Plan is a good way to copy a label set over to new plans - just keep a blank plan with the labels set in one task and this can be copied and used for new plans with the same labels.

Hi, is there any way to get the Duration property value of a video file and map it to a custom metadata column (i.e duration) in SharePoint. I have a video library in SP where I would like to display duration to the user in a metadata column when a file is uploaded. I can see the value in details pane but not able to access it Thanks in advance

Per Microsoft, "We're not deprecating the "classic" experience; both "classic" and "modern" will coexist" docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/solution-guidance/modern-experience-customizations. Also, other templates other than the two you name do still exist. Your information is off and not fully discussing this topic fully. Microsoft is still allowing their customer options is not just all or nothing with the "modern".

Default retention labels? (yes/no) Guidelines for how many you should have? Sensitivity Labels make sense but retention based on a totally different set of rules.

great topic! want to add that OneDrive is tied up to the employee being an active staff in a company. That OneDrive will be tagged for deletion and will eventually be purged by MS. It happened to us and lesson learned as we're not aware that an employee set up his OneDrive to be a team site where a group relies on it in a daily basis for work.

external sharing is an awkward subject. Currently dealing with more eternals than internals. Plus some are guests and other are externals with provided accounts primarily because they need to access additional systems other than 365. Anonymous off for sure. I am sure Microsoft has stats on how many customers use anonymous, yet they keep appearing to add new features to anonymous and not other links types. Request for files is a great example of that. Something we struggle with is getting large files in from partners yet we cannot use those methods as they require anonymous. So it is create a guest then share a Site with that person just to upload files.

Just discovered this excellent resource via splibrarian.com. This may be the first time I've ever been the first upvote on a KZbin video, but I suspect you have many more to come. BTW, I have another private channel use-case example that I think is pretty good. We have a condo community Board of Directors team with a couple management company employees as guests. We created a private channel for the board to communicate apart from the management company.
