Cast away across this ancient land The desert heat burns the eastern sand Fever falls and it starts to take hold Asphalt blood worth its weight in gold The battle cries echo through the stones A thousand men and children far from home Fighting for them that would not fight Forsake all concepts of what's wrong and right History repeats or so prophecies say Tomorrow's bloodshed are our failures today No man raising up his hands in protest To think we thought our government knew best Painting devils on the eyes of our youth So many words yet so little in truth Too much talk but when will you move It's at the point where we have little to lose And they crest the hill so savage and wild They scorch the land and every woman and child Through the deserts, they slip into the night And they die

Is this about Israel?
@lydiakilledtheradiostar61624 ай бұрын
@@AdamArsenal888 you’re asking me that? I didn’t write the lyrics, my guy. Just pasted them. But personally, “History repeats or so prophecies say” Take a look around. What do you think? If you’re asking yourself that question you might have already found your answer.

@@lydiakilledtheradiostar6162 Asking everyone who reads my comment. When I read the lyrics I had a feeling it’s a story of modern Israel. I wonder if anyone feels the same.
@lydiakilledtheradiostar61623 ай бұрын
@@AdamArsenal888 haha. Well, modern Israel? Idk uh, If you mean what is currently happening TO Israel and what started to happen to them on October 8th and seemingly has been for a long time; then I would agree with you 100% Yes. I feel the same in that case. Take the last few lines of the song for instance. I think it’s fair to say that the word “they” is referencing terrorist.
@AdamArsenal8883 ай бұрын
@@lydiakilledtheradiostar6162 I guess the song is from 1960s or ‘70s, so it seems like it’s about events in Israel between 1948 and the year when they recorded it.

Dick Dale, was the first mention of heavy metal. The Fender Stratocaster was made for a left-handed surf guitar player because he was so hard on the body. So fender created a guitar that could handle some metal abuse.

I find it very unlikely that four young guys from a damp, black English industrial city felt that much connection to the beach. Fun fact: I think its impossible to find an Englishman being on a beach for leisure, unless the beach is Spanish. You can usually spot them by looking after the ones that wear socks with their sandals.
