All 3 are stars in their own right- but what’s great about this Magic is they still all feel like a team. And play like one. No one is too good to do any job, they’re all unselfish, work together, tons of heart + an “underdog” vibe bonding them, don’t constantly try to create highlight reel moments for their superstars… I’m in love w this current Magic team.

Magic have 2 max players already. Under the new CBA another max contract would handicap depth. Unlikely to add any contract that does not fit long range plans. There is certainly no despairation to make a win now move.

Suggs gives me so much as anxiety as PG but I see flashes of patience/consistency. He's certainly a SG but maybe could develop into the one of the best combo guards in the league. You gotta respect/reward his work ethic and the all-star potential is clear imo. The FO is clearly not 100% win now mode or else we would've signed a clear PG this summer. I guess we just need to sign Paolo before we can think about consolidating the roster in a trade?

I love this take! Agree Suggs can become one of the most dynamic guards in the league! He may only reach that level if he's at the 2. Maybe these bumps and pains now are also necessary for him to achieve his ceiling. Think the FO could have made pivots with the contracts and picks the team has IF the year had turned differently. Now with Franz and Paolo missing time, maybe it's better to play it closer to the chest. The argument can also be made that if a move helps your team now and into the near future, you do it.
