You're scrunches turn out awesome. I cant seem to get mine quite right, any tips?
@psydyeua5 күн бұрын
only practice will help here. It's not working out the way I want either, but every month I see progress as I understood, they should be of the same height, not very large. when pulling with threads, you can put a book or something flat on top so that the fabric is of the same height and keeps its shape

Wow, sooo interesting! But I'm disappointed! A tutorial on how to tie-dye socks can't bee that fast. I need more slow instructions on how to wind the cord. Then I will be happy!

Try adjusting the payback speed in the settings menu.. you can slow it down or speed it up 🤷

Do you thicken your dye? You don't seem to get nearly as much run as I get on mine, even when the shirt is wet or dry. Love your work!
@psydyeua10 күн бұрын
Yes. I use 3-7 grams of alginate per liter of dye. For each brand of fabric and for different designs, you have to choose your concentration for a good result. Unfortunately, there is no universal formula here, you have to experiment

Thank you so much for showing how you do this! Do you tie and dye dry or damp?
@psydyeua11 күн бұрын
Thank you! I tie only dry shirts sometimes it is difficult and I moisten them a little from the sprayer, but dye only when they are completely dry. otherwise, there is no way to avoid white areas

Yes! Finally a good pattern on socks! Thank you for the inspiration. Is it harder to do this fold on socks compared to a shirt?
@psydyeuaАй бұрын
Thank you! it seems to me that it is even easier and dyeing is also easier. the socks have 5% elastane and they absorb dye very well
@cachecowАй бұрын
Pretty amazing! Thanks for the great angles to watch the dye work. Showing me the tie and how it unfolds was helpful to try to understand the whole process. Do you thicken your dyes?
@psydyeuaАй бұрын
Thank you! I'm trying to make better and clearer videos, but unfortunately it's not a fast process) Glad it helped you. Yes, I always use a thickener in the dye, about 4-5 g per liter of dye

@@psydyeua Every video gets a little better. I wouldn't mind an occasional shot of a clock. I'm interested to see how long it takes to make one of your creations.

Thanks so much for sharing! Are the sticks there to help hold the zig zag flat? I'm just getting good enough to try this fold, and have seen it done both ways. I really appreciate the hard work. Thanks again.
@psydyeuaАй бұрын
I use either chopsticks for sushi, or as in the video - bamboo skewers for food) without them, this zigzag on the back often falls apart it is better not to tighten it too much, the main thing is to give it a shape and fix it with threads so that the shirt holds Thank you!
