Do you pre soak in soda ash? Or do you follow the pariah method and soda ash after you dye?
@psydyeua7 күн бұрын
I pre-soak the t-shirts in baking soda, wring them out and let them dry completely. Then I iron, fold and dye them.

thank you for the great video! how tight do you pull the sinew for these?
@psydyeua29 күн бұрын
Thank you! I try to pull the threads as tightly as possible. The main thing is to hit the same spot each time; that way, the transition will look the most beautiful.

Thank you for such a detailed video I wanted to ask do you use soda ash? Do you do it with hot water at the end or do you sprinkle it on at the end?
@psydyeuaАй бұрын
Lately, I don't do the spill with soda at the end. I just pre-soak the shirts in soda ash. I used to experiment with this but stopped because the colors become less vivid instead, you can simply make the dye less thick so that it passes through the fabric better

So how much dye do you add?
@psydyeuaАй бұрын
it depends on the color and desired shade. some dyes dissolve better, some precipitate with time comes an understanding of what and how much to pour. on average I add 2 teaspoons per 4 oz

What kind of string are you using to tie this?

shoe thread) if you have access to sinew - use them, they will be better

Hello. Nice job man. Can you tell me what string do you use and do you make a knot on the string before you tie the Tee shirt?
@psydyeua2 ай бұрын
just tie it to hold, or don't tie it and just give it a few twists to lock it in place this is an ordinary thread for sewing shoes, I use it since I do not have access to sinew
