I was 15 years old when i heard this song. Result; made a paper about Nelson Mandela and told my friends about it. Great song with big results

I was a kid when this record was realised and I understood what Apartheid was all about but the LAIR Brian May of Queen has backtracked and stated that he was no aware of these restriction when he played there in the 70's .... what a scummy money grabbing creep

When this came out I was living in Asbury Park, and as a huge fan, concerned about Steven's departure from the E Street Band. I was very happy to see Bruce and The Big Man in this video. Watched it on Friday Night Videos on NBC. Legendary.

Stand against Apartheid….sure….nice trendy tune for the times….What about now? South Africa is falling apart…..where are these people now…silent…gone…not a sound from the cast of hundreds getting screen time and big noting themselves….South Africans needs you now. Just as they did then.

1st , I will admit this is a really really great song. I liked it then and it still holds up today. It helped end apartheid in S. Afikka. 2nd , the area is now ruled by blacks and has become a giant SHITHOLE. Maybe its time for a new song.

I had seen this earlier .. several times, being a die hard fan of Bruce Springsteen. Came back again after reading Little Steven’s autobiography which I must say in many ways is more entertaining than Bruce’s though I loved that as well

I am kind of shocked that they decided to play a song called “bad reputation” because clearly Taylor had a bad reputation when everyone found out he did drugs and was found with 10 different drugs in his system at the time of his death - maybe “I love rock and roll” should have been the Joan song they picked - just a thought !
@Mule4ever123
@Mule4ever123 Жыл бұрын
No he didnt have a bad reputation after that. Im not even a Foo fan saying this. You are either off your rocker or made a very bad joke in bad taste and kept going. People do drugs for multitudes of reasons and that day the world lost one of the good guys. All there is to it you weirdo

Let's not forget that Mandela was a terrorist , which was why he was in jail . I wonder how many of these artists would dare travel to South Africa now , seeing as the country is completely fucked up since they released him . 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
