I swear with the amount of good looking quartz in your wash, I would take a gold pan and do a few pans out of the mass amount of fines under your trommel to see how much fine gold you have. If there is enough it could be one heck of an extra revenue stream from the same deposit lol. Love seeing you on some good stones again Tim!

Dark stones actually-kinda get lighter the more facets that are cut into it. So technically they are worth more, just at a later stage.

Whenever it goes like this I'm always reminded of our first tour of this mine, and you telling us about some of the stones the last owner and you found whilst working for him. I remember the amount of huge billies that littered the paths and your memories of the finds behind/around them. You need to go a wee wander (with the wires and a large clear stone ),to hopefully help remind you of adventures past and where those magical pockets are hiding. 🏴💎😃💎🏴

Well they are there anyways. So I always assumed that a dud is a improperly formed stone imperfect from it's formation..do you also call a stone that's been fractured through environmental processes a dud also or is the term different?

Happy Times for Tim. You're still pulling good amounts of good stones at this spot. Let's hope you keep on the pretties and maybe even a whopper just a few picks/washes away. It's early but I suspect you're already dowsing your next little borrowing spot. Long may the good stones last Tim,it's great to see you so happy again. Back to your proper happy chappie state of being. 🏴💎😃💎🏴

Tim, I see that Spinels come in all types of colours, are the ones you are seeing “black” are the only colour you find? What do you do with all the spinels and titanium you put to one side?
