I like the shepherds too. These were the ones who worked in David's field raising sacrificial lambs for the Temple sacrifices. They were true Old Testament believers. They were looked down upon because they must take care of the sheep 24/7. I imagine they sat around their camp fires discussing Daniel's prophesy that it was time for the promised messiah to be born. One night they witnessed the angelic armies headed to pass in review...the shepherds were the only invited ones to Jesus' birth.

Joe told me once that Romania has a 2% Christian population. I find this deceptive as Christian actually make up 85% of the population. If it isn’t deceptive, it’s bigoted towards those not subscribing to his niche form of Christianity.

Christian blog leaders have yet to admit how citizens were fooled… in that fearful people were taught fear with the Bible texts via rapture dogma leaders. Greedy people were taught greed via the Bible and prosperity dogma churches. Lazy people were taught laziness with Bible texts plus Emergent dogma. Hence, read the breakthrough masterpiece novel “Where Do We Go Now, LORD? - Burke.” A fun read, yet quite ameliorating. Folks can and will be fooled again, unless they learned how they fooled themselves and in so doing miss Christ-in-You repairing and restoration. Perhaps Christian blog leaders could explore how fear is sold at rapture churches, greed at prosperity churches and laziness at Emergent churches... all those bad spirits with the Bible's 800 pages of text. Interesting. Maybe not interesting?
