I tried toe-up socks (someone else’s) and ran into trouble. I didn’t like the way they did the heel flap on the bottom of the heel-yeech! I am going to try yours happy to find you.

I’m a beginner knitter and I have been learning many different ways people do socks 🧦. It’s still really difficult for me. I have to laugh at myself because when I goofed up I still can’t figure out how to fix it. So I just. Keep going. First sock not done yet.

Hi Evenly, thank you for your sock tutorial and sharing giraffe mandala cross stitch. I have knitted approximately four pairs of socks. The issues I have experienced were socks did not fit to well. This is true when knitting with DPN and Magic Loop. The sock differences were using worsted and fingering yarn. I will try to join your sock KAL. Thanks again for your encouraging words in how to knit socks using any yarn and various needles.

So much good information. Thank you. I have been knitting for many years, but only recently started making socks. I could never get comfortable with DPNs. Then, I discovered the circular needle loop method. It was a game changer. My biggest problem is knowing how to get the correct size. I just knit forward and hope for the best.😊

There are many online stores. I also have quite a few physical yarn shops around me. Are you interested in a particular yarn? If so, put it into google and see what is available

How do you decide how many wraps to use? I thought it might be 3 for 3 rows, but for the blue you only chose 2 wraps and there are more than 2 rows.

for the 5 rows of blue I used 3 wraps. for the 3 rows of gold I used 2 wraps. I had to test a few to see what works with my tension. that seemed to do it
