My anxiety was sky rocketing when I saw that baby flip in the water I was like oh crap she's done for.

Toddlers are not big and brave. She’s not stupid. This is not necessary if she can learn to swim when she’s ready.

My kids swimming lessons are a lot more chill than this but I still feel like the instructor (Dad) had a pretty good balance of pushing him to the point of learning, while still being there for him emotionally. My parents have a pool (and I grew up with it my whole life) but now with my own kids having a pool in the backyard would give me way too much anxiety.

Survival lessons are not the same ss regular lessons they are teaching what the guardian of the child has signed off on them to learn, the caregiver has to choose what package or lessons they have chosen for them to teach. Survival lessons are for children who live right next to a body of water that they see every day or a lot, and they might accidently obtain unsupervised access. Where they could fall in with their clothes on. So if they have a dress, a shirt, or whatever it may be that the child is wearing, when the child goes under the water the fabric will go up and into their face causing them to drown even if they have some swimming experience especially if they didn't mean to fall in and it was unexpected. Children all should have lessons, but not all need intense survival lessons because maybe they don't live near water like that or don't go swimming much and will be in a bathing suit and supervised when swimming. Furthermore, that lady was gentle and they hugged after. The caregiver has to be there too when they are that little, at least, mine did at where they had attended swimming lessons. 🏊♀️ ❤

As a child free woman, I always get so devastated seeing all of the child drownings. These videos give me hope that more and more parents are getting their children trained in water safety. 💜💜

Shouldn’t the mom and dad be a little closer to the edge of the pool in case something goes wrong with their baby? What is going on with some parents these days? A little common sense is much appreciated. Fools.
