I'm a Patriots fan Franco was a hero he made that catch was going to the end zone for the first Steelers first touchdown in the playoffs in Steelers history. Franco RIP

Franco went to Penn State and was an awesome player for the Nittany Lions. I remember my Dad listening to many games on the radio and Franco’s name came up frequently. Same with the Steeler games. Sorry to hear of his passing. He left a legacy. R.I.P. Franco.

Wore my Franco jersey until it tattered years later. And I'm not a Steelers fan. RIP to the Legend.

I remember when Channel 4 showed the NFL Films version of this play here in the UK back in the 80's when I was a kid. OMG! The hair stood on back of my neck, my heart beat faster and I had goosebumps and tingling up and down my arms . To this day I consider it the greatest play in NFL history. Thank you, Franco (RIP ) & Terry for incredible gift you've given football fans everywhere ( except Oakland) it's beyond legendary and iconic. Go Hawks

It hit the ground. That’s why they don’t show a great replay. I saw the play as it happened on TV, it wasn’t a question of if it did, but if the refs were going to reverse their call after they huddled.

That happened, ironically, when the steel industry in Pittsburgh was collapsing. One mill after another was closing, and the mood in the city was pretty gloomy. The rise of the Steelers helped give the city a renewed sense of optimism.

When I think of the 70s I think of the Oakland Raiders. I think they were the team of the decade. It seemed like every year they played in the AFC Championship Game and they were always the team to beat.

I used to be a 50 year Raider fan. I quit watching pro sports over the BLM BS. Not going back either, but wanted you all to know that Raider fans called it the Immaculate Deception. Just saying, although I'm sure most of you know.
