I would be curious to know why Anthony seems to lean more towards Intel over AMD, especially given that the AMD platform has been shown to be more reliable as of late, with 13th and 14th gen Intel chips crashing.

Hey! This is Anthony. I consider all options when configuring customer systems, AMD and Intel, it just didn't seem to come up in this conversation, but I could talk about this topic literally all day. Since the Intel's switch to big.LITTLE architecture, I have really enjoyed the stability of Intel systems, but you are right the high end chips (like the 13900K and 14900K) have proven to be less stable lately. In the early days of Ryzen they were exceptionally sensitive to RAM choices and speed, and ran quite a bit slower with a lower clocked RAM modules, but crashed with higher clocked modules, so I stayed with Intel, until now with Intel's stability problems, AMD is more of a stable choice on my list. My next personal build is most likely going to be an AMD 8000 "AI" chip, which is what I use to validate higher end hardware for customer use. I am certainly not loyal to one company and choose what's best in the moment for customers. Such as ASUS, which I've stopped selling after they have proven to not stand behind their warranty program and when called out, they didn't have a good answer. So until they do, I won't be selling their motherboards.

@@Th3_ArCh0n I enjoyed your discussion. Very humble and knowledgeable. As with Windows, I believe AMD have come quite a long way, and although still a company that wants to make money and be successful (obviously) I think they're far smaller, and in many ways less evil or "greedy" versus Intel, Apple, nVidia etc. I am still unfortunately pushed to nVidia simply because, for certain apps, they're just better, and their driver team is far larger and therefore, generally their drivers are more solid.

@@damienlobb85 Thank you! I definitely only use nvidia for production systems, but like everything, I am open to AMD making a great product. I have also been testing Intel A380s for lower requirement systems, especially for OBS and streaming systems, as they are the cheapest way to get into AV1 encoding.

How do sync the “camera originals” I record using 4K pockets to atem iso, once I edit I switch to camera originals but my footage is behind (like you mentioned frames difference)
@EnhanceDontDistract
@EnhanceDontDistract 22 күн бұрын
You should be able to toggle back-and-forth and so what I would do is go to your originals at the very beginning and make sure that they’re all synced up and then switch back to the proxies for the edit. Second, I would probably set everything to the same frame rate so that you don’t have the same issues and the same sample rate for audio

I agree about the Magic Mouse being bad. That’s not a big deal given how easy a mouse is to replace. I use the Magic Trackpad myself. For Pro7, you run it primarily from the keyboard, when timing counts. So, that doesn’t matter at all. I’d be very careful in having someone build a computer for propresenter 7. I saw someone claim to have a “Cadillac” but it never ran right with pro7. A gaming computer, and a presentation computer can be very similar, BUT there are A LOT more people who have built gaming computers, and think they know what they’re doing than have built computers that work great with propresenter 7. Btw, I don’t recommend an 8 gig mini. 16 gig+. Sonnet boxes have been very reliable as long as they’re not abused (kicking and cutting, etc). The suggestion that Windows WON’T update is NOT true. I’ve talked to sooo many people who have had Windows stop a service and take, NOT 5 minutes, 20 minutes to an hour. They’ve made it better, but still…
@EnhanceDontDistract

Windows is 99.9% the same as the MacOS version of Pro7, but if you want that 0.1%, you want a Mac. Btw, something to correct. Pro6 WAS written 100% in house for Windows, BUT they used some libraries and other stuff that were 32-bit and so the whole thing had to stay that way. The Mac version of pro6 was 64-bit.

What I'm trying to determine: Do I need to put the CCLI copyright on ProPresenter during the worship service? Do I only need to do that for KZbin, or do I just put it in the YT description?

Legally, you are required to put the copyright information from Cc up for every song and put your license in the description. KZbin is not recognizing the license in the description anymore so you may still get flagged but at least you will not get shut down at this point.

I had the same problem the first time I bought my atem. Audio for me is as important as video. Those atem 3.5mm inputs are just not it.
